So I've not played on the server for very long and now whenever I try to connect it simply says "Disconnected" is this a server or a client issue?

Fatnoob made a post about something like this, have you got any mods installed like TMI? That may be your problem!

I restarted my Minecraft client and tried again and I've been banned. Nevermind then
