Title: How, IMO, to help Guests become members.
Post by: Kinesthesis on 14 Jun 2012, 01:51:57
I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but people in the server always tells guests who's asking for help to "register to the website", "create an account on the forums" and such.. but I think the better answer to their questions on about how to become a member or most commonly used phrase of guests "How do I get out of here" is to tell them to actually read the signs in guest spawn. The reason for that is the signs in guest spawn is quite helpful and if you really read them you wouldn't need any help at all.. but primarily I want the guests to read the signs there is because it contains the rules of the server. If you tell them to reg to the website right away you wouldn't really expect them to read the rules in the terms and agreement at all.. they'll just skim that part most likely.. I've been in the server about 2-3 weeks and the day I became a member I just read the rules and it really provided sufficient info to the point that you'd know what to do to enjoy the full capabilities of being a member. I've noticed that some new members that have told to just reg right away to the website that after like 1-3 days they'll be banned for griefing, offensive language, etc. That's why reading the rules is important. It keeps the server fun and grief free for everyone  :D. and keeps mods/admins work on more important things than petty griefs. So.. yeah.. Hope alot of fellow noobstownies read this post. and if you have other opinions or suggestions feel free to reply!  :D. See you guys on the server. Cheers!  :3
