Hello this part of the forum is where you can apply to become an Operator, please take note that we don't always need Operators but when we do we will check every application and select the best fitted player for the Job.
As an Operator you need to understand that its not just about spawning items and having allot of money its about helping and being there for people when they need you. The past Operators that have come and gone have been taking advantage of their powers, creating huge towns and ruining the game for normal players. If your going to apply as an Operator please understand that you cant just spawn items and go around building huge structures.
OPERATOR RULES:
- Operators cannot own towns, if you have a town you will not be accepted. (Sorry) You are allowed to join a Town though, you can buy a plot and help out around the town.
- Spawning items or granting money to players is not allowed, this is unfair on other players and ruins the Economy.
- World editing - No operator should world edit for a player, or for personal use.
- Day/Night - You should never make the time day/night for personal use or even when half the server begs for day. Remember this is a survival server and should be respected as one.
- Weather - Please do not play around with the weather or turn the weather off or on. Lightning a player or just random Lightning for the fun of it is also not allowed.
I hope you all understand that becoming an Operator is a job and shouldn't be used as a tool to spawn items and mess around.

Why you want this role: Well I've been helping people in my town a lot recently, and I like to help people so I want to expand this to helping out the whole server, Being an operator will help me help others.
Past experience: I've been an OP on two servers before, NoranCraft RP server and Skylexx's Freeroam server. Have also been an admin on other games like SA-MP
Additional information: Two residents of my town, Tyja And Audicitrix have inspired me to put forth this application, Thank you.

Cozmozz is correct. You don't become a mod just because you want the powers to spawn items, or spawn money; you become an OP because you are willing to help the server. People shouldn't treat the "OP" status as a advantage for things. This status means you are there to moderate the server for help requests, hackers, and much MUCH more.
I've also got to point out that alot of people are saying they want to help answer questions of the server or help in other ways to become OP, but to be honest, you don't need OP status to help people - you should be doing it anyway. As I said, the main role for an OP is to help operate the server and protect it, as well as help people.
Ignore any strange mistakes I made, I'm really tired atm. :P

How many hours per day: 6-9 depending whats going on with my day and how im feeling or if i feel like playing minecraft, but i am usually on everyday from 5-8 hours
Why you want this role: I love to help people in need.. i have helped alot of new players already and some users that have been on the server longer than me.
i am very respected on this server. If i were to become op my attitude would not change ( because its not needed ). But when i am given an opportunity, like an op position, i take my job VERY seriously. no matter what job i get assigned i like to take things up to a whole new level of seriousness. I do NOT like being rude, being rude makes me feel bad. I DO NOT believe in disrespect AT ALL, I am a very fair person i give and take, forgive and forget.

Past experience: in the old server i used to play on i used to run a town with the towny plugin with 50 residents.. my town lasted for 5 months and a half and on a server i used to play on a while back i was an op for 2 months before the server shut down. I am Helping my friend run and launch his server properly by making the right decisions, by who to hire for ops or what plugins to use and what they do.
Additional Info: i live in Canada so im on pretty late and Angel_lord, Fatty ( Joe ), Waterworth get off around 6 pm my time and mesh gets on around 7 pm my time since she is 1 hour ahead of me ( ps she is a day sleeping cat, thats why shes on late ). I also created most of all of the help section info and the huge command list wth the faq also. I Started a Group of gameplay series on youtube 1 of them being Le's Play NoobsCraft! and the 2nd being Let's Play Minecraft - Jim's World ( thats me ) and the last one , Let's Play Minecraft - Dual Commentarys which i do dual commentarys with some of the users on this server ( if they want to of course ) , i have also finished building a house with ome younger kids, ages ranging from 10-14 so i know good leadership and how to keep a good team running ^_^, i also know how to use worldedit properly since i have it put into singleplayer i can just do random practises with random maps using worldedit, so before you ask.. yes i am very familiar with world edit ^_^

I personally think geoboy and ozzmancometh SHOULD be op's and I think a lot of people would agree they are both people who try there best to help people on the server (including me and what they helped me with was worth thanks) and are defineltly not greifers.
and donny wanting to fly is not a reason at all for wanting to be an op, wanting to help people on the server and get rid of greifers and help rebuild or restore whatever has been greifed or stolen.

How many hours per day: It depends on the day, but let me put it this way: I play as often as I possibly can, and when Noobstown is not up, I'm constantly trying to log in to be one of the first on, so I can get back to playing,
Why you want this role: I would like this role so that, perhaps, I could be more of an asset to the server in terms of helping people, as well as in terms of helping create on the server. As everyone knows, the server has recently been reset. I would like this position so that I could help bring our humble server back to her full glory. I also enjoy helping people with not only projects, but also with any questions about the server, plug-ins, or Minecraft in general. Spawning items interests me little, as I can make money fast, and do not mind earning my materials. Flying also interests me little, as I find the controls slightly cumbersome. Though, its true that these perks would make building slightly easier, I just view them as a bonus to the ability to become a more involved part of the community.
Past experience: Noobstown is really the first server I have become involved with deeply. So, sadly, I have no experience as an OP, however, I do consider myself dedicated to this server.
Additional information: I would like to state here, before being accepted, that if I were welcomed into the position of OP, I voe to accept and uphold the rights, responsibilities. and duties that the position holds.

Past experience:I have been a Admin and computer programmer for other websites that have recently shut down due to poor funding.
Additional information: I am going to school to be a computer technician, i build PC's for friends and family. My computer is custom made; estimated 1,700 usd. I am a good people person, i love to hang out with friends and play football for the highschool team. I am easy to get along with and love to help people with computer and video game problems.

Why you want this role: I dont know i think i just miss being a staff member from the past server i was on and i wish i could have it again. Also i like helping out the community so thats i think is good.
Past experience: In the past i was a Mod, Admin, Co owner of a server which was named Orcworm's SMP server. Everyone knew I helped out a lot and helped people follow the rules so people came to me instead of the real owner for their problems.
Additional information: Im Very Familiar with the Commands staff have. There might be a few i dont know but i do know must of them. Also i have Horrible spelling/grammar problems which i dont like people making fun of but its nothing i can help. Im Usually nice to others but if they are going to be a jerk to me im usually a jerk back but most of the time i calm down after a days break so thats good. Also i've been playing Minecraft since Alpha 1.1_01 and i know almost all types of minecrafters but it does get confusing when you have one thats two faced or multi personalitied. Also im kinda strict maybe because i came from a extremely stricked server called minecraftwb but it could be a good thing. Well im looking forward to see if i get accepted or not i probably wont because im new but it doesnt kill to try. Sorry for my bad spelling and grammar but atleast i tried.

Why you want this role: I feel there's a need for a mature op to be of assistance during the hours I'm around (Australia). I like to help people and will be happy to spend the majority of my minecraft time making noobstown a safer, more fun place for people to be.
Past experience: I haven't been an op on minecraft but I run a popular forum so I'm experienced in moderation/conflict resolution.

I dont "own" a town persay just to grief protect my house after asking Fatnoob of course. Till someone finds a good grief protect plugin for buckkit.

Well, no.
Towns are places build to attract other players and have them buy plots, pay taxes etc.
Using towny to protect a build, without recruiting residents, is obviously something Fatnoob has considered acceptable in Angel's case.
BTW Foob, can I do the same? ;)

Meshpet and Irkieran had towns way way way before the rule was implemented, thus they should not have to give there towns up.

Why you want this role:i hate greifers. i want to do my best to get rid of them. plus i like being a helping hand for people. i dont like giving people just things to use to build just to help them mine or cut wood and such.

Why you want this role: Recently on the old server we were seeing more and more people griefing/trolling alot of the members of the server. Most of the victims were younger and had a hard time dealing with other people within their own town or could not communicate with those who were trying to make their time miserable. There isnt always an OP on around the clock but of course no one can expect that. From seeing certain OP's play times and their own schedule, there generally isnt one on during my own play time and that seems to be when hell breaks loose on the server. I feel that I am more than able to fill in that gap and provide whatever aid is needed. The position of OP is not necessarily an enjoyable position and it is a large amount of responsibility.
Past experience: As far as games in general, I've been guild masters in World of Warcraft, Community Officer in Lord of the Rings Online, City leader in Star Wars Galaxies, and other small positions. As far as experience with dealing with other people in real life, I've been a tutor throughout school, including both years in college and I used to babysit when I was younger. I am more than capable of dealing with any age group that may be on the server.

Additional Information: I'm an Engineering major at Texas A&M so I play Minecraft because I love building and I enjoy taking on large projects. I am also very interested in Western Civilization from the Archaic Greek period up to the end of the Crusades.

I want seshyo to be the next Op very badly becuse 1. his application is amazing and 2. I would like him to receive at least a chance at an Op becuse he seems very resposiable and able to handle any situation this server has to offer

+1 Fatnoob Long_Cat and Waterworth, you should seriously review this application next time you think your Operator team is running weak. This is just what we need :)

Why I want this job: To help eliminate griefs, to be there when someone needs help or has a question, and to stop people from trolling or using any sort of inappropriate comments such as racial segregation, sexual segregation or anything of the sort. I believe this server should be a server where everyone gets along and no one is judged for anything. (not that there is any major trolling going on, but i have seen some)
Why i feel as though i am capable of this job: I take jobs very seriously and maturely. I know the rules, i know the boundaries, i will not use the benefits of being an operator for any other purpose than to help catch grievers in action, and anyone disobeying the rules. I also feel as though i have a good schedule, I live in Eastern time zone, and i am on line when many operators are not. I am not the type of person that is easily corrupted with any form of power, I prefer to be a trusted, respectable, and reliable person. I am very friendly and easy to get along with, and i feel as though i am ready to take on this job.

Additional Info: I am in virtual school full time, year round. Week days I am usually done by 3:00 or sooner. I don't school on weekends, and i am available most of the time during weekends. I must say, when I heard that operators cannot have towns, I was pretty disheartened, but I understand the rules and why they are in place, and I am willing to let go of the possibility of having a town.

Why do I want this role? It gets on my nerves and saddens me about all this "greifing" that happens in game and posts on the forums, I know that I can't stop the grieving, but at least be there for the people when I'm on. Besides the greifing I do enjoy helping people that have any needs while on the server, and unlike some people, I enjoy helping the new people that join the server, it gives me a challenge.

Most of the victims were younger and had a hard time dealing with other people within their own town or could not communicate with those who were trying to make their time miserable. There isnt always an OP on around the clock but of course no one can expect that. From seeing certain OP's play times and their own schedule, there generally isnt one on during my own play time and that seems to be when hell breaks loose on the server. I feel that I am more than able to fill in that gap and provide whatever aid is needed. The position of OP is not necessarily an enjoyable position and it is a large amount of responsibility.
Past experience: As far as games in general, I've been guild masters in World of Warcraft, Community Officer in Lord of the Rings Online, City leader in Star Wars Galaxies, and other small positions. As far as experience with dealing with other people in real life, I've been a tutor throughout school, including both years in college and I used to babysit when I was younger. I am more than capable of dealing with any age group that may be on the server.

By the looks of it they might be getting ready to select a new Op that will be on late in the A.M central time. I know Seshyo is on a lot, and on late at night. My time when no Op is on (Central Time). Maybe we can have a vote with some candidates that the Admins and Staff pick. But the admins and staff members should have the final say. The vote would just help the Admins and Staff see who the community would like best to become part of the staff. Just an idea.

Why you want this role: To help with the increased number of players on the server, most of whom are new to the Minecraft server experience. With increased popularity comes a lot more greifers and problems between players. I want to be there to make Noobstown a welcoming experience and a great server.
Past experience: I've been a moderator for the server of Lyseria, which is now down. But I do have experience with BigBrother, which I know you guys use to prevent against greifing. So I know most of the commands and could easily look up the wiki again to refresh my memory. :)

How many hours per day: I usually play quite a lot during the day, though it depends on my schedule a lot of the time. If i have a lot of free time i'm online for most of the day, if i do not i'm online during the night (my timezone). Overall i'd say 5+ hours a day.
Why you want this role: I have not been on this server very long (joined on V3), but i enjoy it more than any other server i have ever gone to. Just playing on it is already a blast, being able to help others would just be an added bonus. The main reason i'm applying is to let you know that if you need me i'm always up to help out.
Past experience: No experience really. I did run a small server with only a couple of friends out of my own PC, but it slowly went down for lack of usage. I did learn a lot about plugins and commands when i was running it though, so i have experience with a lot of the plugins run on Noobstown. I believe i can quickly learn the things i do not know if i get the job.

Why you Want this role: To stop griefing, spamming and hacking. Also, when it comes to coding (Or Geek speak, as named by the public :P) I am very good with dealing with internal errors (Like /town spawn). Not so great with external errors... Also, I run my own server with multiple different people and plugins, so I know how to deal with plugins (Because I got a new computer that is MUCH faster and has more RAM) such as Towny (I actually know how to fix the broken /town spawn command), Permissions, Essentials, as a matter of a fact, it took me only two days to figure out how to start a Bukkit server, add plugins and deal with that crazy permissions plugin. I also have LOTS of experience with being a leader in a dedicated community (Such as Noobstown) hence, why I tend not to join towns, but prefer to run them as Mayor. I am also a VERY dedicated and hard worker, and I tend learn VERY quickly so I think I could be a great help with fixing plugin problems, stopping griefing, stopping spamming/hacking and dealing with the more technological side of Noobstown.
Past Experience: As I said before, I run my own server. Also, I have run one Vanilla server in the past (Nethercraft I called it) although, it was just a private server for me and my friends basically.

Why you want this role: I've been on this server since V1, and I've been able to get to know some people, such as Geo and a little bit about Joe. I've loved this server, and I brought two of my friends to it. I've noticed a lack of Ops on at certain times when I'm on, especially on weekends, and some Ops sort of abuse their powers, such as only flying, never walking. If I become an Op, I wouldn't do that, though I may fly if there is no portal to a town that I want to see, or no one in that town wants me to TP straight to them. I want to help people and I hate griefers. Geo and I found something had happened to a house of ours in the wilderness, and he was able to check it. We tore down that house, but still, it's not good if someone griefs a building in the wilderness. I get sick of the troll-like people and the people that abuse CAPS in Global Chat. I'd like to be able to tell them to stop, and them actually know they should, or they'd get punished in some way.

Why you want this role: I have been on this server for months now,and i really love it. I have met some really great people and i wish to make the server nice and cosy for them.I noticed that sometimes there aren't many ops online, and the ones online are busy. I have a lot of free time, which i would dedicate to the server with pleasure. I would like to stop people like griefers, spammers, generally people who are ruining fun for everybody. I'd like to have power which would allow me to actually stop and punish them.

Why you want this role:
I know what it feels like to be griefed and to be robbed, and I have learned this the hard way. I want to help stop griefing and robbing in this server that Joe has kindly made for all of us noobscraftians! I want to help Joe, as he must be sick of people griefing and robbing people in this wonderful server. I find it annoying that after all that Joe has done to make this server, people still break the rules, not caring about what he thinks. I also found that there is a lack of moderators at the times when I'm online and usually there are problems when moderators are sleeping/going out, etc. I find it troublesome when people ask for help and moderators and there are no moderators online. Now, you may think that I just made all of this up just for stuff like world editing, spawning, etc. But I didnt. I also LOVE helping people, I have this special feeling inside of me when I help someone and they appreciate it. It feels better than anything in the world. I also realized that being a moderator isnt all fun and games, I know that to be a moderator you have to think fast in situations like griefing, robbing, etc. I know that you have to be kind, and generous, but still be serious and strict about the rules. I realized that you have to ALWAYS help people, even if you're in the middle of a huge project, and someone needs help, I know that you should immediately assess the situation and help in some way. I know that as a moderator, you shouldn't EVER spawn items for other people, that you shouldn't EVER world edit for other players, and that you should ALWAYS make sure the noobscraftians are having fun.
Past experience: I used to run some servers for my school, but they didnt work out so well because it kept on crashing. I know some of the BASIC programming language, a bit of C++, and I started learning Java, so I'll try to help with programming errors if there ever are any. I go to my school's Orphanage Club, where every week we go and help the orphans or just have lots of fun with them. I am also pretty good at math, so if there is an equation problem, (for some random reason) i'll be open to help.

Why you want this role:I have been playing noobstown for as long as I can remember me playing minecraft. I've been playing noobstown since v1 and I still love it and play no other server. I want to help other players and make sure nothing bad ever comes to players as somthings did to me during my timezone.
Past experience: I have had alot of experience in other games as admin but I mostly play mincraft now adays. But I'm really good and minecraft and love to help people.

Why you want this role: Well, I've been on Noobstown since last version, I know that it isn't that long but that is because I didn't even know of minecraft until Geoboy66 & Mikeybree showed me what it was, A descent while after they showed me I bought it and since then I've only been on a couple of servers which DO NOT compare with this one, I would like this role because I really do enjoy helping people with what I can, I know I could help people without Op but it would be much easier with it., I know I have been in-trouble before for swearing quite a bit, And I also got muted from global for about 2 days. Even though I have done wrong I can still change - I've not argued with anyone since or got told of by an Op. Everyone can change if they really try, If I did ever get this Op role in noobstown I would be very serious about it and would stick to whatever job I have been set to do, I would also like to help new comers in noobstown, Tell them a bit about the community and guide them in the right direction, I know I would have to give up my town if I got this role, But I have a great assistant I wouldn't mind giving the town to.

Additional information: Well my name is James, But people on noobstown call me Jay from my IGN, The noobscraft server is quite strange in a great way, When i get up on a school day i think of what i will do when i get home - It's like another life/world, I find it great coming home to see people on the server and to look at the forums to keep updated, It might be weird to some people but i really am having a great time playing minecraft with this community, I know that i am addicted but minecraft isn't the same without Noobscraft, for example when the server goes down i look on planetminecraft to see if theres another server i can play while its down but its so boring, i feel really useless and eager to get back on to the right server i should be playing. I could be imature at times but I can be serious and mature when I need to be, I live in Dundee like Mikeybree, Geoboy66 and Ryzo76, Which is located in Scotland, I have quite a big family so I'm not going into detail Lol, I love playing minecraft on noobstown, As some people might already know, I do like building things but I'm not that good - I don't think I'm rubbish either Lol, I like building simple projects , Like I've already said in the other section is that I like to help people with what I can .

Why you want this role: I want this role to help other Noobcraftians into getting their full enjoyment and experience out of this fantastic server. I believe that an operator should be dedicated and loyal to helping other players on this server and if I am accepted into becoming an operator I will be able to fulfil peoples wishes as long as they do not break any rules. I know all the rules and follow them, and have never broken any of them. I understand what it takes to be an operator and the rules that they must follow, I promise I will follow them and will not get greedy with the privileges that operators get. I have been on a few servers and I have never had the chance to become an operator, so this is my first chance and I'd be extremely grateful if you accepted this. I love this server and the people on it and I'd love to get to know people more. Why you want this role: I've been on this server since V1, and I've been able to get to know some people, such as Geo and a little bit about Joe. I've loved this server, and I brought two of my friends to it. I've noticed a lack of Ops on at certain times when I'm on, especially on weekends, and some Ops sort of abuse their powers, such as only flying, never walking. If I become an Op, I wouldn't do that, though I may fly if there is no portal to a town that I want to see, or no one in that town wants me to TP straight to them. I want to help people and I hate griefers. Geo and I found something had happened to a house of ours in the wilderness, and he was able to check it. We tore down that house, but still, it's not good if someone griefs a building in the wilderness. I get sick of the troll-like people and the people that abuse CAPS in Global Chat. I'd like to be able to tell them to stop, and them actually know they should, or they'd get punished in some way.

I also believe that anyone who has been punished, such as a ban or a kick, should not be allowed to be an Op. If you get punished, then you've broken a rule.
