Many of you probably know about the trick where if you take a Lead, attach it to a chicken, then hook that chicken to a fencepost that is floating in the air, you can get the chicken to just hover there, and if you got loads of them it's a very efficient egg farm, if you got hoppers it is totally automatic.
But my question is, is this allowed? Cause I am not sure if it was intended by Mojang, or if it's a bug c:
-
I'm pretty sure its allowed. It doesn't seem like a bug, because the Mojang team has seen videos where people have done this, and they aren't working on fixing it. Dunno though.
-
You are supposed to be able to hook all mobs except for villagers and bats onto leads and have them lifted, drug around, flown, etc. Hope this helps.
-
Fair enough, cause it does mean that people can make money farms, cause you can sell eggs for 1 Noob each I think, so it would be a great way to make money.
-
Indeed it would be, but perhaps you forgot that the mob clearance would kill the chickens right?
-
Not if you're riding them! :3

I think a mob attached to a lead won't despawn
