ok im not sure if its down or not.... my game just froze and now i can connect...

Probably down. Theres most likely a **** ton of traffic going to the site due to the update...

Thing is, when I first got on MC today, I connected fine. This was about an hour ago. Then I wanted to get on the server, but I had closed out of MC. I tried logging back in, and Minecraft.net was down. So maybe it IS full of traffic. :L

it IS traffic. so many people want to play with the pistons etc so they will immediately get on.

Minecraft.net should improve their sites stability to handle their player count + more
