'Best Little Town' contest.
All towns under 20 members as of November 1 are automatically entered. (if you'd like to opt out please notify me) Any towns with over 20 members as of October 16 are not eligible. Details are still being hammered out but the judging will be by the mods, the mayors of the big towns and Dadjaeger (Jaegeropolis is not eligible). Judging will be based on town member amenities, overall aesthetics, organization and whimsy (creativity). Judging will take place around the end of December. 1st place: 50,000 noobs. 2nd place 20,000 noobs. 3rd place is 10,000 noobs. You have time to start a new town before November 1st. Good luck!

I get your point but just to clear things up the contest is for towns that have 1-20 members. You don't need to have 20 members, just below 21. If this contest goes well there will be other contests hopefully that everyone can join.

I've had questions about this, the prize money will be awarded to the mayor of the town hopefully to be added to the town bank and used to the betterment of said town.

I'll check with the other judges, but I don't think your town qualifies, as the start date was on November 1. I don't have a problem with allowing you to enter, as you are getting a late start...but I'm not making the decision either. Let me talk to them, they are also welcome to chime in here at any time...

Oh yeah, it is on still, in fact 'x' is one of the towns competing. At least it qualifies and is in the running unless you don't want it to be, Mrfloris. The first prize is already 50,000. I'm sure 60,000 sounds at least 20% better, but I don't know about accepting monies from a contestant... :)

60,000? The title says it was originally 80,000, meaning it would be 90,000 prize money xD.

Since December is so full of awesomeness already (thank you Fatnoob and Waterworth and Itslawrence for all your hard work in making the holidays something special, as always, here on noobstown!) I think the judging will be sometime in the first week of January. So, all you mayors who are in the running...get to work, you have a month left!

I haven't forgotten about this, and the contest is still on. I am not sure when the judging will be as my wife as abducted me into some harsher form of indentured servitude and I have been away for awhile in any meaningful sense. I would prefer to not be a judge myself, but to allow the mods to judge instead. So if the mods would sign on to this that would be great. All mods are welcome of course, but since many have been busy with rl stuff of late, I think five would suffice. Twisted, Tidal, AQW, Buckie and Duelcon have all agreed. San, you are on a bunch so let me know if interested. If you want I can make a score sheet for the contest, but it would honestly be quicker if someone else did. The criteria is listed in a prior post.

Twistedlover, can you please send 60k to Brianta101 and 30k to trock2772? I don't see them ever. I will pay Mprint. Brianta, 10k of that is from Mr. Floris so be sure to thank him too. :)
