When we're looking for chat mods we'll look through the applications, base our opinion on how they perform/personality in-game, activity and a range of other factors. I hope this helps, the best way to prove yourself is being helpful in-game and showing to us what type of a role model you can be for the community, that way once we come to read the apps you'll already have that positive influence on our decision.

Basically:

1. Be a good role model in-game
2. Use the application process to confirm you want the role/to put across what type of person you are and how much you care for the community.
3. Continue to be active presence in the community
4. ???
5. Winning

Also, please keep in mind that even though you apply doesn't mean you'll necessarily be chosen. Not all players who apply become chatmods but Foob described it perfectly. Good luck!

I am not saying that bribing moderators helps. But I am not saying that it doesn't.
