Hear are some ideas for earning money
1: cut down trees= 500-600 a stack
2:glass smelting= 300-450 a stack
3:farming= potatoes and carrots 640 a stack melons are 2-4 a piece
4:doing jobs for people= what they pay you
5:digging sand= 100-200 a stack
6:dirt digging= 32-64 a stack

Selling logs is really a great way to go. Here's one supplementary idea-- collect merchandise of all sorts, allowing you to have a diverse range of products. Then, when somebody in chat needs it desperately, engage in a transaction, agree at a reasonable price, and boom :D
Also, selling enchanted items are a good way to make money. Especially if you have a good enchant xp grinding method. ;)
It's also important to keep track of what the current prices are for most items. Even the uncommon ones like leather and cacti (dyes might be in demand due to the update, as well as spider eyes). That way, when you sell something, you're well-informed of what the price should be.

Yes. You don't have to change it into a shop plot or buy a shop plot. You can set up chest shops in your own plot. Here (http://www.noobscraft.com/trade/how-to-set-up-a-stall/) is Foob's guide on what to put on the signs for your shop.

or you could go to special events and sell the exclusive items, i got 80000 for selling some beacons i got at the wither event. oh and BTW one more is up for sale

Not necessarily. The only thing you need is an axe with high enough durability. If you had an Unbreaking III Diamond Axe even at Woodcutting Lv 0, chances are good that you'll successfully use Tree Feller on 2x2 jungle trees.
Raising your Woodcutting level will increase the time when Tree Feller is active. (Increases by 1 second every 50 levels).

Mycelium is a great way to make money. It can sell for high prices and is hard to get. I sell a stack at 2.5k. A stack of glass is also my specialty. I also love to sell sandstone, it is 500 for a stack of regular, 750 for smooth, and 1k for chiseled. The lava buckets, Mrfloris, is something I would never have thought of. So thank you for the tip. Also, once i get unbanned, expect a shop in Noobstown with my name on it.

can you buy stuff from one store and sell it to another store that buys it for more? I'm not sure if shops sell for more than other shops buy

how do you mine mycelium? wouldn't it revert back to dirt? Anyway, here's great way I use to make money. Make a lot of shovels. Dig dirt to level up your excavation stat. Sell dirt. Make glowstone using the glowstone dust you dug up from dirt. Sell glowstone. Once you get high your level high enough, you can find diamonds. You can save them or turn them into diamond pickaxes. Enchant the diamond pickaxes and sell them.

I smelt all the cobblestone that I mine from mining world, then smelt it at home for 1 noob each.
Works a charm! ;)
1.4.2 you could /sell all iron too, so I took advantage of that,but now the /sell all command doesn't accept
iron any more. It made me a ton of money,that's kind of how I got 100k now.
