Just in case anyone isn't able to connect to the server....1.8 was released today, which when you start minecraft it will automatically update to the latest version installed. It's easy to change it to an older version which allows you to still play on the server until the server is updated to 1.8.
When you open minecraft and you see the MC news, at the bottom, you'll see your name followed by "edit profile" click that. Under "version selection' you'll find "use version" and then a drop down. Click on the most recent updated before 1.8. Then Save your profile. Log in as usual. Then you're back up and running on Noobscraft!
No update on when 1.8 will be implemented on the server but for now this will allow you onto the server. :)

everyone should be able to connect now using the 1.8 minecraft client. I will leave this up for any future issues that you may have.
