V6 Noobstown /commands
« on: 3 Nov 2012, 19:44:15 »
This information has not been kept up-to-date; some commands listed are still in use, but many have changed.

Table of Contents
Ch1        - General Commands
Ch2        - LWC Commands
Ch3        - Party Commands
Ch4        - Plot Permissions Commands
  Ch4-1   - Wilderness Plot Commands
  Ch4-2   - Towny Plot Commands
Ch5        - Horses Commands
Ch6        - Pet Commands

NOTE: Use your browser's search feature (usually CTRL+F) and put in the chapter numbers for a quick find.

So I've had quite a few players ask me about commands the past couple of days.  While we have wonderful guides on how to do each specific  thing in noobstown with it's relevant command posted on that topic, I've decided to do a compilation list of all the commands.  (keep in mind you may know some I don't!  If so, just post them below)

The quickest and easiest way to get info on any specific list of commands is by using the '?' punctuation or typing 'help' behind the command (i.e. /horses help).

/town ?    -   This will give you a list of all the /town commands that are available to you.
/nation ?   -  Gives a list of all available /nation commands
/res ?       -   This is a list of all resident commands you can use if you are a member of a town.
/plot ?      -    This will give you a list of all plot commands that can be used.
/LWC      -   This will show you a list of all locking and unlocking commands for chests, doors, and signs
Currently this is only enabled in the mining world and [towny?] worlds outside of wilds
/party ?   -  Gives you a list of all the /party commands you can use
/horses help -  Will allow you to see the commands associated with /horse.
/wild help - This will get you started on exploring the /wild commands.  There is also a brief guide posted
                             here:

Ok on some of the chat commands

/tell (player) - lets you talk to that player without needing to do /tell (player) (message) every time, so it just locks you                   to a conversation with that player. To leave the conversation just do /tell. Also if the person you are talking to logs off it will say something like "You are not in a channel" do fix that just do /ch g.

/ignore (player) - Makes it so you don't see anything that they say, is best used if there are spammers or someone is trolling you

/spawn - Takes you to the noobstown spawn. Lol duel you for got that.

/helpop (message) - This allows you to ask for help from a moderator but usually has better luck then just general chat

How do you remove a home if you are not a VIP?

Do /home to get the list
If one is "banana" then you can remove it with:
/delhome banana
I made a home called "home", and a second one called "one". I don't have permission to delete them :S.

Some towny commands were forgotten.

Such as:

/tc
/nc
/t mayor
/t create [Name]
/n create [Name]

/tc and /nc are both unavailable to use and likely will not make an appearance.  Unable to add /t mayor and /t create as those are limited to people who are actually mayors.  If you apply for a town and get accepted, these will be known.

  , /n create added - under /nation ?

There is likely someone living within 3 chunks of that area you are trying to claim.
in addition:
This is not the place for support, try asking in game through a /helpop or in /ch g if you have further questions

I think the plot perms syntax is a little off. I'm pretty sure for plot perms in the towny world, the syntax is:
/plot set perm [resident/ally/outsider] [build/destroy/switch/itemuse] [on/off]
for example:  /plot set perm outsider itemuse on
seems to work for me. My $0.02

Is there a more updated version of this list? I'm wondering if there is a command to immediate reply to someone (such as /r and it autofills the last received sender, using tab to scroll through the msg sender, if multiples), and how to add another town in the same nation as an ally.
