It may just be the fact that I'm reading this at 2 AM, but does it seem to anyone else like that's a lot of info?

Don't get me wrong, it sounds awesome, but woah. Lots of info.

Its 7:20am here an yea its alot at this time too lol. Na its good that this has been posted with all basic wild chunk commands in it. I like it all in one place. Thanks Lawrence! Hope that you guys aren't working too hard i'd like for you guys (Staff) to enjoy the moments up until release too =]

Any ideas when the turtorial/video will be released? I ask because obviously some people can remember these easier with a visual memory. Me though, im just going to keep this and other command tabs open for the time being until I can get used to them.

Once again thank you Lawrence and team

Video will be up later today (Most likely before release) working on some other stuff right now so that currently isn't huge priority, although I understand most people find it easier to visually watch a demonstration rather than read blocks of text. We thought It would be important to get the full information up at least before the release so you know where to start!

Thanks for information on video and I agree. Its great the guide is out there now so people can stop panicking. And harry if the video isn't up by release and you still can't get through reading this im sure you can ask me ingame for commands as I will be keeping this open for myself aswell.

Seems simple enough. Can always come back here or ask someone if you're confused.

I was referring to the fact that I'm too tired to see right now... It's 3:30 AM where I am X_X and I'm staying up for another 42 hours at least because of V6's release :D

Sometimes I question my own sanity lol

Getting up to date with everything before release. Want to make sure I'm a step ahead in the game!

Good luck to those competitive players, I'm going to be playing as much as possible and I'm sure JayJay will be too.

P.S Nice guide.

So everybody will have a command to teleport to their Wilderness home and another to teleport to their Town home, correct?

Related questions:
-Can we set home on a chunk we do not own?
-Can a builder set home on a chunk with building permissions?
-Is there a specific permission to allow someone to set home on my chunks?

The sum of those would make possible to turn a wilderness area into a pseudo town.

Since this is about the Wilderness world I was wondering... Will there be a Mining world at the start? Or does it take time to get ready? Do we have to start off with mining in the wild?

I have a question. I was just telling craftymatt13 about the wilderness guide and he said that he had heard somewhere that there may be like a "forcefield" keeping others from walking around on a claimed area in the wilderness. Will that be the case? Will others that are not added to your chunks be able to walk around on your chunks either just looking or passing by? Just wondering because if you cant just walk on others chunks that might make it a little harder to get around the wilderness when everyone starts claiming chunks.  Just 6 more hours to go. Craftymatt13 gets off work 30 min before the release. He had better run like the wind when he gets off work to get home. lol

I personally asked fatnoob about this not too long ago, and he said there will be  a mining world, nether, the end, WILD world, and TOWN world.  So yeah, there should be a mining world upon release.

There is no /wild help however if you just type /wild it will give you information about all the commands.

The /wild chunks home command is not the same as /sethome these are different things, the wild chunks home command will only take you to land you specifically own and cannot take you to other peoples land, you can however if you have homes to set set homes around the world.

A little off topic but yes there will be a Mining world at the start of V6. You can also mine in land you own though if you want to.

You cannot put up a forcefield around your land no, the only time that a forcefield is created is when land is sold off and so it has to regenerate to the natural terrain, while it is doing this you cannot enter that particular chunk (to avoid damage from the blocks), it shouldn't be too hard to avoid and there are always many teleport commands to get you to different areas as you need to.

When you sell land will it reset back into it's original state (i.e. will a hill you flattened reappear)?
If yes, may I assume that chests on a chunk will disappear or become inaccessible when you sell that land?

Question:

When you do the command /wild chunk lock, can you unlock it somehow, or is it permanent?

Along with that, wont that allow you to spam on diamonds?  You know claim the land, pinpoint diamonds, dig diamonds, unclaim land, claim land and so on?

All items and chests are lost, everything will be removed when the land regenerates after a sale.

Yes, simply type it again to unlock the chunk.

All "Rare" blocks are cleared when you sell the land, so any ores, chests, spawners, etc. are set to stone so that this cannot happen.

I know you have explained this but Im a bit dim at times.

Q) You have claimed some land for yourself and you make a house, are your chests in this chunk "automatically" protected from others?

Chests, Furnaces, etc.
For the purposes of keeping it simple any block where other items can be stored within it we're referring to as a "unit" (this replaces LWC in the wilderness and connects it all to your owned land). Commands relating to these blocks therefore being /wild unit. When you or and builder of your land first place any unit it is defaulted so only you, as the land owner, are able to access it. You can however change the access rights to give certain individuals or groups of individuals the right to access your units. Only you as the land owner are able to perform commands on a unit.

To act on a unit you must be directly facing it with your cross-hair over the block you want to act on, ensuring that no other blocks are in the way. To get information about a particular unit type the command /wild unit info.

You can change those users/groups who have access to by changing the "type" of access. To do this type /wild unit type. This will bring up the options:

Me = You only, only you as the owner of the land have access.
All = Everyone who is online is able to access the unit.
Builder = Only you and your builders can access the unit.
Set = You and those users you specify can access the unit.
Buildset = You, those users you specify and your builders can access the unit.

As can be seen you can specify some specific users who are able to access the unit if the type is a set one, doing so is simple; just type /wild unit access [NAME], it's a toggle so type it once to add them and then again to remove them.
