I think that the server needs to make it so it never rains. It used to never rain, and there was no lag. Every time the rain comes on nowadays, everyone starts lagging! I think rain should be turned off altogether.

I don't lag, I just find MC rain annoying :P

If you don't like the MC rain then you're perfectly fine to Google what's known as Optifine, it not only helps increase your client's FPS but it also can turn off weather completely so you won't ever even know it's raining.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the rain was put back in because people were complaining that it was off. When we first had it on people complained to turn it off, then they wanted it back on again, now people are wanting it back off. At this rate it's going to have to stay either one or the other and people are going to have to simply settle with what they get. :P

Haha, well I was actually one of the players that complained about the rain being off. So I'm happy lol.

I'll make the chance of a downfall more rare, jeeze can't keep you guys happy. Hehe

just turn down the sound in the options

You can also turn your particles to minimum so that the rain sounds don't play... that might help a little....

Just do what I did... Build a giant glass dome, 100 blocks across, 60 blocks high. No rain ever again ;D
On a sidenote, I actually like rain.

I still find it funny how people complain over and over again about it being "to much rain" before when I could see the rain I did not really think it was that annoying, here are a few examples to get rid of the rain or snow.
- Install Optifine, in Optifine it is a option where you can turn the Weather on/off
- Turn your particles down, this way you will not see the rain and if you want the sound to be gone as well just simply remove the rain sound file from your minecraft, or turn your sound down ... :3

I agree with MJ. Rain helps, and its not like its lightning or snow, where the weather will mess up your building. Just turn off sounds and particles. PROBLEM SOLVED. ANY QUESTIONS?

The rain does get annoying but I don't think it should be taken off altogether. One thing that might be possible is to make it rain less idk though.

I think rain is great, weather is part of the game - so why not. I actually miss some thunder though ;)

I personally think the actual game (Minecraft) should have an option to turn off weather. I mean if they can turn off clouds in multiplayer, what's the problem with rain? But I have no control over Mojang sadly. :3
