Rain and Theme Month

Hi friends.

1) Please, consider making it rain less often.  It seems like it rains all the time!

2) We should have a Princess Bride theme month.  It might sound cheesy, but I think it would be awesomely fun.

As much as this idea is good, they try to make theme months a broad theme like 'Archeology' 'Robots V. Aliens' or 'Wizards'. This is so people who haven't seen/read/heard-of specific things don't get left out. Plus, there can only be so many heads relating to the Princess Bride, and heads are a key part of Theme Months  :P. Maybe a 'cheesy' Medieval Month instead that uses characters from the Princess Bride. That way people who have seen it get the characters and hidden references, but people who are oblivious to the movie can enjoy the theme month all the same. -meep

Edit: Lol, all Minecraft multiplayer environments love rain! I once owned a server, and it rained all the time (said server is now closed because Noobstown is far, far better).

We haven't adjusted how often or not it rains on the server, that's just how often/long it randomly rains for in Minecraft. We don't really want to adjust things when there isn't a need for it, I'd love to hear other opinions on this though.

As I tried explaining in a different suggestion we've tried so far to make the themes as general on topics as possible so that everyone (even those who might not have specific knowledge on a topic) can take part.

Princess Bride is a very specific topic (I've just Googled what it actually is since I'd not heard of it :/) and obviously there are general themes from within that which might be able to become a monthly theme themselves, possibly with quests that could be associated to Princess Bridge's plot or similar. So if you've got any ideas for how to generalise it slightly more I'd love to hear them.

I will however still try to bring this up when we're next planning out the themed months. Thanks for the idea.

Lol, that's a quote from the movie. It's an epic story.  And the fire swamp, the nether, it could be an epic month.

But I understand where you are coming from. 

The movie itself is like a generalized, generic adventure story which makes it so likable.  But I don't think you could do it justice without the references.
