This is the official thread to suggest value changes to current items in shops and what you would like to see in the shop, any discussion about the /shop can be done here.
So, what prices would you like to see change?
What would you like to see in the shop?
What do you want removed from the shop?
-
I would like to see in shop Wood log's
-
Gold and Iron ingots and ores should be raised back to there normal prices. (Around 150 for iron and 400 for gold) Instead of 6nz a peice... I mean, come on xD

I think with that things become too easy and its a knock on effect for Town price etc..

Wow, thought logs were already in the shop.. my bad.

Indeed

I think anything related to food should be remove from the shop in 1.8. Then, people will have to buy food from other people! LIKE ME! :D <3
-
I also think flint should be added. For arrows
-
I agree with Joe. But not as high as 150 for iron...
I'd say about 40. It would be valuable, but not too ridiculosuly cheap.
-
I was thinking maybe we could add the other kinds of saplings to the shop 2
leaves and arrows are apriciated 2
coz I have loads and I cant sell them XS
-
THings not sellable in /shop arent an issue because of chest shops...
-
I think cacti should be added to the shop at like... 8nz to buy and 4nz to sell.
-
To enforce chest shops there has been 2 districts implemented for them, the dock and the stalls. But people with alot of money will just take the lazy option and just use /shop. To heavily enforce the revival of chest shop, /shop should be removed entirely, making the players rely on each other for the buying and selling of materials.
-
I partly agree with geo
he actualy is right :/
for the time we are still in V4 we should only rely on eachother to see how it works :/
maybe we can only add the basic items later on if it really doesnt work :/
but only for buy I think you still should be able to sell your stuff to the shop if you need 2
-
You should add sugar cane, sometimes it is really hard to get enough to make some sugar/paper.
-

its already added half a week ago -.-
-
Geo's right, we shouldnt depend on the shop for materials, but rather, each other.
I think some item prices should be as follows:
Iron ingot: 40 to buy, 30 to sell
Gold Ingot: 55 to buy, 40 to sell
Lapis: 7 to buy, 5 to sell (It's a flippin' dye!)
Obsidian: 15 to buy, 12 to sell
Redstone: 8 to buy, 4 to sell
Sugarcane: 3 to buy, 1 to sell
Wheat: 5 to buy, 2 to sell
Seed: 4 to buy, 2 to sell
Cactus: 5 to buy, 2 to sell
Sapling: 2 to buy, 1 to sell
Bone: 8 to buy, 3 to sell
String: 5 to buy, 2 to sell
Arrow: 0.5 to buy, 0.25 to sell
Flint: 2 to buy, 1 to sell
Records: 300 to buy, 150 to sell
Your soul: 10,000 to buy, 300 to sell
Thats my list, hope you chest shoppers take it into consideration!

iron is easy to find so your price for iron is too high exclaimer (so is coal and stone)
-

all his prices are weird justin they are or to high (way to high) or for some to low
-
I'm gonna' convince Joe not to add the /shop plugin (OR whatever it is called) Somehow.
-
are you sure geo?
at least at the begining for new items
and we should at least be able to sell items to the shop :/
-
Yeah linda is right about selling stuff, Like when me and uncom got to a high excavation level we started getting a lot of items but they were junk if you dont need them. And its a pain having to throw them out of your inv to get rid of them. I don't think that you should get rid of the /shop, its quite helpful, But my opinion is that the prices should be MUCH higher, Hopefully people will agree with me but when you get to about 100k you can bye whatever you want thats possible from the shop and it gets quite pointless and takes the fun out of it, But then if it does get taken off can Joe/Staff build a big chest shop in noobsville, if there is going to be a noobsville, so people need to travel atleast?
-
a big chest shop is basically the same thing as the shop, and a pain to go to noobsville when all you need to do is type wherever you are. every single item and block in the game would be awesome, ive been having trouble with items i couldn't see and so have others im sure of.
-
Justin it would be more creative if it was a chest shop, plus it isn't really role playing when you use /shop buy is it?
No!
-
Just as it isn't role-play to /shop sell and sell your items to the air around you. /shop is buggy, abusive and exploitable, a lot of people on the server have overpowered other in the league of wealth. I don't like the idea of being able to sell anything at anytime, anywhere. You should have to go to someone's shop and sell it to them directly or other people that wish to buy. Sure you will say "But it will be hard, why not just sell some starter things?" It ruins the game, the game (Mode) is about survival, make things yourself, acquire them yourself, sell them... Yourself. Updates like 1.8 are making the game harder for a reason, don't try to make it easier.
-
I think chest shops WILL make the game more RPG ish, and therefore am in favor of them. However, is /shop really that big a problem? I think if we are going to do something to it, we should just make only the most rudamentary suplies available, e.g. cobble, sand, dirt, iron, diamond. Instead of can it altogether.
-
Okay. Heres an idea. Eliminate /shop, just to see if it's doable, just for a time, and encourage people to set up shops, and industries will arise. Also, if you have shops on the docks, and stalls, then it would be a good starter for the roads industry. Also, you would be able to have international and inter-city trade on a truly large scale. And when you have international trade, you have tariffs. And look! You've just built an entire economy! Nations would have their own industry, towns would spring up not only because their mayor wanted to make them, but they would spring up around areas which are rich in resources. Towns would be in forests, and sell wood on a large scale. Nations would claim entire deserts, and sell glass. And it is then that you have competition. And then, wars, based upon land disputes. This could turn into something akin to a Civ game! It would be awesome!
And all because we got rid of shop.
-
I would rather the server had everything in the /shop or nothing, I don't see the point in having some items and not having some items, With chest shop you can be more RPG with building a wool shop, a brick shop, a tools shop etc instead of having /shop......
But hey Lol, everyone has there own feelings
This is an answer to the post above ^^
-
we should have NPC shop owners like in games like Runescape

It IS doable... We had chest shop before there was a /shop plugin, it worked great, the server only got worse when the /shop was added.
-
I'd love to have come on minecraft back then.... :'(
On Noobscraft/town of course!
-
I don't think My prices are that farfetched.
The plants dont cost as much to sell because they are easily farmed.
They cost a bit more to buy because you CAN farm them.
Monster loot isn't worth as much because monsters are... everywhere.
Obby isn't worth much because it can be easily made and super Breaker can give you a lot of it.
Iron and Gold are worth a bit because they are valuable materials, and plus, you shouldn't be able to just buy a lot of them.
Lapis isn't worth much because it's semi-useless and you get a LOT when you find some.
Records don't do much, and very high excavaters can get a lot of them.
And I eat your soul. om nom nom.
-
The high excavators did work hard remember to get to that stage ...!!!
-
I add poll now, k thx bai
-
THANKS TYJA!
You are what I call... Tyja. :P
-
iron isn't valuable it's found every 20 blocks you mine
-
i'm srrsly feeling way to noobing not knowing this... i'm trying to sell somthing on a shop sign but i end up buying it... help?
-
left click to sell - right click to buy on chest shops, some chest shops may not want you to sell to them so the sign will only state B for buy if a sign states B AND S that means you can buy and sell to that specific sign.
-
"/shop" helps new players. I know I died several times before I got a good start. Finally read thru the noob guides and started buying wheat.
If "/shop" is removed, might want to give new players a "kit" with food. Hunger seems to hit hard and quick on this server.
Also, selling dirt and cobblestone gives new players the capital to buy into towns. I'm not sure how a player could get the funds needed if not able to sell to "/shop". Interested to hear thoughts on that ...
BUT, if you want to make ingame economy meaningful, "/shop" needs to be limited ... severely. Raise the prices to BUY items from "/shop" ... to like 50 or 100 nbz per item. With the /shop prices high, folks wanting to purchase will buy from other players instead of from /shop.
-
you should add the various dye's and wool's, bookshelves as well, i've noticed a high demand for those lately
-
plz lower the prices on rotten meat. u sell for 1 noob, but buy for 5? ridiculus! i think the price for buying should be the double of selling
-
I also think flint should be added. For arrows
Cut out the middle man. Put arrows in the shop. I would buy arrows if they were like 1 nb each.
-
i think it would help a lot of ppl if u could sell mob drops
or
if u could buy stuff lik torches or wood because ppl usually need torches while mining
-

and that is why i cut down and entire tree before entering a cave for exploration, problem tree huggers?
-
I think you should sell stuff to the shop BUT it gets you only get a tiny bit of money and to buy stuff off of the shop will be 2x the money so you'll have to buy it from other players or have to pay a lot of money so I think they should both stay
-
Cactus, Watermelon and Sugar Cane should be added
-
Just convert the sugar cane into sugar, then sell it.
-
I think some of the things that you can sell should go up, also the buying price. Ex.
Enderpearls sell for 1 dollar but you can buy them for 2. Why not make it 5 dollars to buy one and the to sell 2, something like that.
-
Change the price of diamond for selling 150 is really low considering to buy it it is 500
-
Can't we have the same prices for buy and sell?
-
Mabye now there should be emeralds in the /shop
-
Mabye now there should be emeralds in the /shop
If your meaning the green diamond in your picture then they're already in the shops, but not color corrected to be green :3. Nah just kidding, they'd need to be really dear like over 1000 because that's the price people are selling them for normally.
-
/Shop should be left in place to keep a level on the economy. Without some form of solid base, the server's economy could collapse if a large enough group of players got together to inflate or bottom out something. (granted, I'm sure an admin or Mod would take steps to prevent that from happening)
I think the buy prices on the /shop are good. a hefty margin above what an item is really worth. Some of the /sell options could be modified a bit. Adding redstone as a cash commodity would be wonderful for inventory space, but the price of selling it would have to be ridiculously low. Perhaps 2nbz/5redstone or something of that nature. I agree that not all things should be added to the /shop buy or sell though, as it will keep that incentive for players to frequent market district more. So my vote on the poll should be split 50/50 :)
-
To an admin I think there should be an admin shop with same prices as seastore but without chests because when they are full I can't sell anything whereas /sell there wasn't a limit to how much I could sell.... Btw is the seastore the admin shop?
-
Seastore gets runned by the mayor and TAs of the town of Seaside. It is not an admin shop. As people buy things in Seastore the chests will get space in them and you'll be able to sell your stuff to Seastore. An admin shop selling everything what Seastore sells at the same prices would be unfair competition, wouldn't it?
-
Stone should be 2 as well as all crops being increased somewhat
Thanks for listening.....
-
The price of bread should go back up to 3 because I don't understand why it has been changed to 2 when I put in 3 wheat, sometimes I like to feel a double chest before I sell produce and turning wheat into bread is more compact.
-
I think that you should be able sell wood planks for 2n each, not 1
-
you should and more items to the list
-
I like using the /shop command. It's easy to activate it without having to stop what your doing and goto the market place :)
-
You should add redstone and glowstone dust
