First Robotics

Was Just wondering if any of my fellow noobz in american were In First Robotics.  Baisically, we have 6 weeks to build a 120 pound robot to do a specific task, usually a competitive game like frisbee or baskeball. If anyone is interested, look for teams near you.  To join a team is free but usually you could buy a team shirt.

If you dont know what this is check this link.

Heya! I was actually a mentor last year :) Man those were some stressful weeks, but when the big day came around, it was mind-blowing fun. I take it you're part of a team?

Ooo nice. We were a rookie team when I joined last year, where I helped out with programming. But the main guys moved to MN and there wasn't much interest among the students so, no team this year.

Team 1094. Sounds like you guys are pretty established! (Funny how only those familiar with FRC can surmise that based on the number). Although, new or old, it's neat how every team has an equal opportunity and they even help other teams during the big competition. First Robotics also has lots of aspects besides just building the robot-- there's the marketing/community aspect, etc, so it's a well-rounded program.

Good luck on the Chairman's Award! Have you signed Woodie Flowers's shirt? ;)

We happened to stay at the same hotel Texas Torque (1477) did lol. They rocked it last year! (Video here).
