I just watched Nik Wallenda Skywalk across the Grand Canyon and I wanna know who else watched this awesome event I wanna see tons of responses about this so get going guys.

How did they get the wire across? That is my question!

Helicopter + guide wire, then pulled the main cable across using the guide wire, according to the commentary with one of the engineers. The main cable weighed in at somewhere around seven pounds per foot :O
I'm still not clear on how they pulled it, or how it was anchored, particularly given what they said about the side where he started from being it's own little island of sorts. Would have like to seen more of the setup / teardown rigging procedure. Maybe there's some 'behind the scenes' footage available?

If you watched the entire show on it it showed how they anchored it. They put cable really far down into the rock.
