Did you know you can see the Space Station orbiting the Earth from almost any location thanks to it's high inclination? Well you can. With the clear crisp winter air, viewing couldn't be better, especially for those of you outside city lights. Check the site below for viewing opportunities for places near you, grab yourself some binoculars and see if you can spot it!

Cool! My 6 year old got a telescope for Christmas and is looking in the sky now. I know she won't need the telescope, but this will be something neat for her to see. The light pollution here is sort of bad. When I was her age, I could see the haze of stars from the galaxy. Now I can see only the brighter stars. But, the station will still be visible.
Thanks for keeping us informed on cool stuff.

Yea, it makes a huge difference when you can get away from city lights and get to a dark area with no moon visible. The milky way and the universe come alive. I'll keep on postin as long as people are interested.

Could you post a image of the milky way, universe coming alive? (It be interesting to see.)

I'm not trying to 'troll' you. I'm just curious of what the milky way, and universe looks like out of the street lights, I am never out of street lights, therefore I cannot see, hence why I asked to see a picture of what it looks like. Also, I was playing a technic game which had the moon on there at the time of viewing this thread, that's why I posted a picture of me on the moon :)

Will be interesting to have a look at what things are really like beyond the barriers of earth, Hopefully we can get a night with no cloud soon over here in the UK ^^ (One in a million chance of that happening me thinks)

If you had asked me like that in your original post I would have responded...Google image "dark sky", but if you can never get away from street lights to see it for yourself, you won't understand what I mean by it coming alive.
