Notch released a screenshot of the new mob he's making. looks pretty scary...

Type:Neutral
Abilities: unknown

The Enderman are neutral or "peaceful" as long as you do not look straight at them, if you do look straight at them, don't look away or they will become aggressive and run right at you or teleport to you if there far away.

new mob up closer and during daylight. its' said that wearing a pumpkin on your head prevents them form seeing you. Notch is thinking of renaming them Farlander.

if you name it farlander then he would have to make it only appear in the farlands and some people would never see it. and that may be interesting to teast out. i think if you kill it they should drop a mask of nighttime and then they cant see you at all.

also the mask should be their head texture.
