Title: 3d Prints by Mprint and QzAcidman
Post by: Mprint on 27 Oct 2015, 21:10:16
We've been 3d printing if you didn't know. We have a Lightforge 3D Creator Pro. Here's some random stuff we have printed so far.

How long does it take you to make an item ?

Depends on the size, how much infill there is, and a few other specifications. A Pac Ghost takes about 8 hrs.
The Vigor symbols about an hour each. The half of my mask took about 10 hours.

Hey, how do you even use the 3D printer? (like how does it work?)

You have to create or download a 3D model of the figure formatted for the printer using a 3D modeling program.  Then send the file to the printer, which prints it in layers thinner than paper.

I could 3d print a basic minecraft figure, but to make it look like anyone specific would require painting it pixel by pixel.

Some people use stickers (or other stuff) to attatch to the basic figure to make it look like someone. I know the company Ender Toys uses this technique with their 3D printed figures.

Good stuff.  That mask came out great!  I'm partial to the Hylian crest though - need a three-foot high one of those for my house.
