I get bored...and with the griefers, and spammers I have to get away from the server sometimes...Tension  :/ *shudders*

20mins sketch...I'll make it pretty later. I just need a few mins to pass some time.

I'm not having a very good day...
I've been failing at the canvas, & I have people depending on me to deliver awesome-ness for Christmas.. I'll try again tomorrow.

And Matt, I'm afraid it's not my career...yet. But I do small projects every once in a while, for extra cash. I'm more of a graphic designer (computer art), rather than a studio artist. I love drawing (graphite, chalk, charcoal), ceramics...Painting isn't at the top of my talent list. I prefer painting on concrete...but those projects are rare, and hard to find.

My last concrete project was in 2008.

And I've been searching for a picture of the full Mural...but it was a pretty massive painting, and I think my mom is the only one who got the full image with her camera. I'll see what I can dig up.

Graphic Design has endless possibilities. ((that's why I'm interested in this field))

It includes simple things like logos for companies (which can be used for business cards, stationary, ect.), Websites, Publications (magazines, nespapers, books), advertisement, and for packaging. You need a graphic designer to create the images you see in games (just like Minecraft). Posters, Stickers, Signs, Symbols - All created by a graphic designer/artist.

The second I decide to write a LOOONG post about graphic design, and  explain logos, and who I'm working with Noobscraft goes down for maintenance... I have such lovely timing  :P I'll re-write that post tomorrow. For now, here's a doodle I did while waiting on V5.

I will do my best ^_^ but it may take longer than the slime took. 1 There's alot more to draw than just one cute cube. and 2. Thanksgiving is coming up, here in the states...Most places get a few days off from work, but unfortunately I only get the one day...but I'll do my best.

I'm a member of a particular art website (I don't want to be accused of advertising other websites...so I won't say which website), and they have art challenges called MeMe's. She's not finished yet. Still need to play with the flesh tones in her face, and add some light on her ear so you can see it....and I knoooow. I'm not good with teeth BUT I'll fix it, and bring back the final when it's done.

And that first 3 part comic of your first day...aha...yeaaah. that was me, too. Was all like "woo! cut down ALL the trees!"  After walking and walking without a tree to be found, the sun was going down, so I panicked and just started punching a hill until I had a hole to hide in. Aaaand did not come back out again much until I got invited to a town. ahaha... o_o;

Art battles sounds like a lot of fun, I'm definitely down for that. One problem there though, after posting my last post on this thread, my computer decided to play against me :c. Still working on getting it sorted, not sure what's wrong with it atm.

I still don't have my computer back, I really wanna get started on the battles :(. I sent it to the people I bought it from on the 10th and they're waiting to hear back from the motherboard's manufacturer and then they'll give it back to me once they've sorted it, such a painful wait, not able to do any art...

:D Well that's great! I say we come up with an idea of what to draw, and then spend the next week working on it.  Should we keep it minecraft related?  We might be able to get other Noobs to vote on it to help us out. :D

Let me know what you think...We can start a new topic, and make it a weekly challenge thing, open for the entire server possibly? . . . if it becomes popular, maybe we can ask Foob to offer a prize for the weekly winner, or something. I don't know...just brain storming.

Nothing wrong with squiggly lines and stick people Xavi! :D There are so many different art-styles out more there, and I swear to you... whatever you post here there will be something on deviantart that makes your picture look like Mona Lisa in comparison :)

Would love to see more of noobtowns artisans :)

Halcyon13 - I agree. I wish people would post their sketches.  JayJay and I were going to do a weekly/monthly contest/challenge thing...but it kind of fell through.  My schedule is so iffy at times, and coming up with random ideas for the challenges...We never worked out the kinks in that idea.
Adam5979 - Lots and lots of practive. Plus I spend about 2 hours on my drawings. Some people spend 8+ hours on their art. :P  But that kind of time is hard to find for me. lol

Here's one more...Idk how much drawing I'll be able to do...I'm having thumb problems. Going to see a friend of the family who is a nurse. Hopefully it's nothing serious.  o.O

Well I like the digital art because it's a little ALOT cleaner. Plus I have an Undo button. lol Cheaty, I know.

I'm discovering a problem however. When I work on my Mac (it's the only computer with fancy software) I see more detail, and the colors are more vibrant.  However when I upload it the internet and examine it on my PC, the colors are so dark. For example, the Nether image I just posted...On my screen I can't even see the Nether fortress in the background. :P  I run into this problem more often than I'd care to.  That's the great thing about non-digital art. Wether it's two-dimensional or three-dimensional, you view it in the present as is...sharing digital can be a real headache.

Anyways...

You should post some of your work.  Even if it's not minecraft related. :)

thats a cool picture. the ghast in the background makes me lol. just the look on its face makes me laugh. the nether fortress in the background is sort of hard to see but only sort of. the lava waterfall is completely epic. 11/10!
