Recently I just opened my new photography business. When I lived in NC I had a photography business then as well but this time around I decided to go all out. Facebook page, business cards, my own website and a better camera. I haven't had a whole lot of business yet but I've been working on my portfolio and getting the word out.

I thought I would share some of my favorite photos with you all...

...and if you're interested you can check out my website // storymodephoto.com // twitter: @storymodephoto // Facebook: Facebook.com/storymodephoto

They all look really crisp, the subject is in focus without too much else to make it stand out.

Does a photography business sell photos, do you get to go out and take the awesome pictures ?

Yes. Basically I charge people to take their photos whether it be a wedding, senior photos, prom, etc. Again I haven't had too many people interested yet but I'm just beginning!

That church is beautiful. I feel like the black and white is a waste of potential for the shot in particular though, the stained glass could make it even better. Assuming it's stained, I can't tell :P

Good photos though! Good luck with your business!

Sometimes photos look better in black and white. You can spend hours editing a photo in color and it's just not coming out the way you'd like - once you turn it to black and white it looks so much better. The glass was stained glass but I just felt it looked better in black and white plus I have plenty of others that will showcase the stained glass. :D
