Ha, sounds like a challenge. Hopefully it's a lower order function so i won't need to buy too many to figure it out

How so shaders? Wiff no 1.7.4 forge release?

1.7.2 forge works just fine, though a bit too buggy to play with for me

great for screenies tho

I dug into a wall:

If youre getting java errors that can mean either you need to reinstall or update your java, or that you need to download a new launcher. I'd suggest getting a new launcher first, and if that doesn't fix it then playing around with java. I'd explain how to update your java but I'm at work, but you should be able to Google it fairly easy though.

It sounds like your native files may be corrupt so my knee-jerk response would be to wipe your bin folder (located in %appdata%\.minecraft) which is where your native files are. The launcher will re-download the whole bin folder and you will have shiny new native files.

Before doing this I'd suggest making a copy of that bin folder somewhere before you wipe it, and if you have mods they will need reinstalling.

WOOP WOOP!

Finally time to choose a living area... Hey Joe, can you tell me how many chunks the huge volcano is in that cluster? :3

It's about 19 chunks wide
pi r ^2 = ~283 chunks in area

and that's just the lava

Obligatory 'SOON' comment. Brought to you by our very own:

SOON

T O S H I B A c d e f g j k l m n p q r u v w x y z
A B C D E F G h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z

For every letter you see in the scrambled message you go to the decoder, find the letter in the top row, and then replace it with a letter in the bottom row.

And no, there is no logical pattern to the decoder except that TOSHIBA corresponds to ABCDEFG, so he basically gave away 7 free letters. You find the decoder by deducing what the message should say and by looking at the patterns present in the message.

For example in the first sentence there are two words that ended in "dka", and we already know that A corresponds to G from the hint. I knew that a very common ending in words is "ing" so I'd be willing to bet that D corresponds to I and K corresponds to N (and I was right). Then I can replace all the D's and K's in the rest of the message and continue on as such.

This is a very common logic puzzle called a cryptogram.

I have about a 3-4 year old machine that's only really had its power supply and graphics card updated

CPU: 1st Gen i5-750 (Quad Core)
RAM: 4x2GB @ 1600 MHz
GPU: ASUS 2GB GTX 770
PSU: CoolerMaster 700W 80+Bronze

I'm waiting for DDR4 to become a thing before I update since DDR4 will run at a higher clock rate (4.2 GHz from DDR3s current 1.6GHz) that it'll require an all new processor and mobo in order to actually use it fully.

Noobstown General / Re: Is gambling ok?
« on: 9 Oct 2013, 21:53:51 »
Not only have there been many player driven gambling games (all redstone driven) but also there have been and will be a few plugin driven gambling opportunities. Unless I'm mistaken there will be both a casino and a server-wide lottery.

But yes ensure that your games aren't rigged in any way.

I'm also not Water, but since much of our player base is in North America, we can likely expect to see around 8 non-admin staff members for those time zones (2-ish per). In addition he's likely looking at 2 or 3 more outside of the states, mainly UK/Euro and maybe Aus/Pacific.

To my knowledge anyways, don't quote me on this.
