Hey hey, glad to hear you successfully navigated college - hope you see you online sometime!

Looks like a nice place to go fishing!  Looking at the river, you can actually take a boat all the way to Giza to the West and Gotham to the East.  If you went north from Gotham, you could eventually dock at your sister city Ethereal. :D

Competitions & Events / Re: Noobmas 2018 - Advent!

The main section of town is just a 3 x 3 grid, with only a few buildings on the edge.  All of the chests and NPCs have glowing names that you can see through walls, and most of the advent chests are on the first floor near a prominent entrance.  If your draw distance is modest, you can run down the center street and see chests two blocks over by pressing the zoom button to see if they are unlocked.

The longest I've had to take to find a chest was about 5 minutes, only because it was the furthest point from spawn; the toughest NPC took maybe 10 minutes just because I had to find an alternate route the them.  I kind like the challenge of exploring something new, instead of just having the advent prizes dropped in my inventory.  I think it's cool having some easy prizes, as well, but I don't want to see some of the more-involved challenges disappear.

I tend towards run-on sentences, strewn with commas, and have also run afoul of the punctuation limit during reasonably normal chat with others.

That would be pretty helpful.

I've done a lot of mob hunting in unowned areas of the wild and town worlds.  I can see how it would be beneficial to be able to access the extended storage of a shulker box in those spots.

Site Announcements / Re: Server Chest Shops Search
« on: 31 May 2017, 23:24:59 »
Wow, this is a GREAT feature!!  This should really help out people who run and maintain shops, and the general server economy.  There are lots of times where I want to buy something, and I always want to support more-involved players, but sometimes I give up after visiting town after town trying to find valid shops they may-or-may-not be there.  /ah is still good for valuables and rares, but it's uncommon to find raw materials being listed there.  Already, this has prompted me to visit towns I haven't been to in a long time, now that I know a shop is there with items I need - excellent addition to our assortment of tools, Larry!

I spent the night in the treehouse.  It was very cozy!

Before the switch over, can we have an apocalypse event in v5?

I kinda wanna see what the world would look like if someone - a certain handsome ninja with a habit of tossing melons at innocent bystanders - set off a doomsday weapon and dropped a few dozen flaming netherrack meteors onto the landscape.  It'd also make for a an amusing canon explanation for the reset - after "the event," the server deities saw fit to save us all and teleport us to a brand new new world.

Noobstown General / Re: What is YOUR noobstown story?
« on: 2 Oct 2012, 12:09:05 »
I may be crazier than a shaken bag of Hollywood celebrities (and far more handsome), but I do have pretty high standards when it comes to multiplayer servers in any game.  I've been pretty disappointed with other servers being full of cheaters, or poorly managed; so I was happy to find a server that's well-maintained and actively hunts cheaters (long live Myrf and Buckie).   Every day I'm on the server, my belief that this is a heck of a server to play on is reenforced.  Great community, proactive moderators, lively owners, good implementation of customizations, and...  melon slices.

I don't know why, but the melons speak to me on this server.  Oh, what's that, my beauties...?  You want me to harvest you, and hand out melon slices to all the good boys and girls of Noobscraft?  Well, who am I to say no to citrullus lanatus?  Watermelons have never steered me wrong.  Pumpkins on the other hand...  :P

I prefer to wander around the wild, hiding survival caches, and building the occasional survival bunker.  Whenever I run into devastated wilderness - floating treetops, irregular pits in the dirt, stripped deserts, beaten farmland, fields of green begging for a flower or two - I like to try and patch things up.  It may be futile, but I suppose it's worth the effort if just for the joy in doing such.  When the great watermelon in the sky comes calling to whisk me away to defend the universe, I'd like to leave with a clear conscience and a glimmer of hope that I've left parts of the landscape as handsome as myself.

When I'm not busy with awesomeification projects, mining, or building survival bunkers; I can be a bit of a social butterfly.  I like helping folks out, chit-chatting with the mortals, melonizing those hungry for sweet-awesomeness, jumping on random peoples' beds, dancing on random rooftops, charming the ladies, and scouting individuals who may serve the Way of the Watermelon.

Oh, did I mention being crazy?  I did?  Okay, just wanted to reiterate that.  And the handsome thing...  When you demand maximum craziness and dashing good looks in your ninja, look no further than Raiden600...  I'm better than the 599 Raidens that preceded me!

I do this kind of clean up when wandering around the wild.  Floating treetops bug me.  I've been helping a few other like-minded people patch up other beat up pieces of the wilderness, so the fine sentiment is definitely about the server.

Guides / Re: How to find diamonds (advanced)
« on: 14 Jul 2012, 01:49:01 »
Maybe it'll change in future world-resets, but the last time the Mining World reset, it seemed like all blocks were in the same place as last time.  If you're OCD like me, taking notes might help you re-find veins of ore and diamonds, after a world-reset.  I was able to find the same cave system, same abandoned mines, same zombie spawners, and the same veins of ore which I mined the previous month.  A few times stuff seemed to be off by one or two blocks, but that might have been me rounding the coordinate numbers up or down.
