Hmm. Nevermind, now it's working again, but only some of the time.

Idk, not that big a complaint, I was just curious :)

Is the Green Thumb ability meant to work for wheat?

A long time ago I noticed it would autoplant wheat, but using the harvested wheat rather than the seeds.

I tested just now and despite having a 100% Green Thumb chance, it's not working with either seeds or wheat.
Is this intentional or a bug?

This is great!

You're doing great work Larry!

I do remember you! I was Dmonemac95, not that it should ring a bell, I was just a helper around Morningwood, and later Forthwind.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on in like a year or something ridiculous, and finally remembered minecraft was a thing.

I don't know, thought I'd make a post?

Is the server dead? It would be sad if it was :(

Get the watch dude, it's better than flying, you just zip around with a right click. quicker than /jump but it's the same thing really.

I've had /fly on other servers and the VIP watch is better by a considerable amount in my opinion, unless you're making a big floating build or something.

Server Announcements / Re: The Future of Noobstown
« on: 22 Jul 2016, 12:32:43 »
I'm sad to hear that the Dungeons thing is postponed, but I'm glad its still in the pipeline somewhere.

When that does start to happen, and you end up needing a bunch of content, or random builds for dungeons or little holdfasts, or just anything at all, lots of us on the server would be happy to help. I don't know what your vision for Dungeons is, or if it's fully developed this early, but for some reason I was imagining the town world being similar to the Skyrim map, with main cities and towns being the big, main areas, which is kind of already the case, and loads of areas scattered all around, ranging from ransacked carts with a few wolves and gold nuggets as loot, to bandit camps, all the way up to sprawling underground dungeons full of undead or something, a big, ambitious main quests. I didn't play on Apocalypse enough to get a feel for it, but what I saw did remind me of Skyrim.

The point I'm trying to make is, plenty of people, myself included, would be more than happy to contribute dungeons and all those tedious little assets and backstory things that I'm sure Jaeger can't be expected to do all on his own.

Anyway, thanks Larry, for all your hard work keeping our favorite server running and alive. I really don't say it enough.

Can this custom plugin be used on other servers?

If so, have you considered making the download available for other server owners to implement, and making bank on all that sweet sweet ad revenue you can spam the download page with?

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Fire Spread on your own chunks??
« on: 18 May 2016, 19:47:10 »
I would like firespread to be optional on chunks too. Mainly because it makes removing water much easier.

For example, when making a giant underwater dome or building, the best way to empty the inside is either with a bunch of sponges, which are disabled, or filling the inside with wood and then burning it all out.

Thanks for making something like this. It's the first step towards a truly fun and engaging economy. I don't know if you'll succeed, but thanks for setting the precedent. I think i might invest some money.

 How much do you charge?
Also, I've heard such sorters can clog up and be a pain. Is that common?

If the answer to question 2 is "no", i'd like to hire you to build me one. I have a pretty big space underground all cleared out.

I've been on a Tom Clancy binge lately. just started Debt of Honor, it's pretty good. Carrier groups are pretty cool.

Also Walden I guess. That one's a very good book to re-read every now and then.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Town World Dungeons & Locations
« on: 16 Dec 2015, 21:40:25 »
Batuus, you're a genius.

This needs to be done! I really like the Elder Scrolls comparison. The livemap is already a lot like what you'd see in Skyrim or something, with many different biomes and awesome landmarks, and the towns all dispersed in various places, and the only thing missing is the system of roads and dungeons and stuff.

I think roads between the major towns could go hand in hand with this, much like how in skyrim you can be traveling on the roads and find a dwarven ruin or something, or a bandit camp.

NPC's in the towns could also give quests to go out to some ruin and find something etc. just like mineapoc was, but the town world would keep its current malleability to towns so the dynamic might change.

EDIT: Town dungeons sound cool too, like some secret of the town that can be solved, that ties in with other things or whatever. Like how in Solitude in Skyrim you can enter the blue palace and do the daedric quest, or Markarth's forsworn conspiracy. Riften's thieve's guild, etc.

Town mayors would have to be in on it of course, but it would be a cool way of showcasing your town to the server when otherwise most people would only see their own town and their wild chunks.

I can't support this enough. I'm super hesitant to cut down custom trees on my wild chunks because you can't recreate them without it being a pain.

The admins don't make MCMMO, they just use it like we would use a mod. They have control over multipliers and coefficients and stuff, but adding entire features is wizardry, and they're busy doing mineapoc server merge stuff. And heads.

Blast mining is kind of pointless anyway. At a high enough mining level, the double drop rate more than makes up for what you would get with Blast Mining.

Also in V5, it was enabled despite no block damage, which resulted in the ores dropping as items but the blocks stayed placed, meaning you could make a cube of dia ore, blast it, collect the dias, and keep doing that for infinite dias.

That's probably why its super duper banned.

You're better off using the Silk touch/Fortune 3 trick with super breaker. It's quicker and gets you more drops than blast mining.

They're designed to be a pain to get and only for a short time, Campen. If I were you, I'd ignore the heads and sell collectibles to people who like heads more than money. We're just making a killing :D

Support / Re: Automatic Farms
« on: 30 Nov 2015, 01:59:50 »
Auto cobble doesn't work for the very reason i mentioned above.

However an application of redstone and pistons which is cycled manually would work. Clocks just get out of sync with pistons because a few milliseconds of lag can amount to a tick or two, and that builds up etc.

Support / Re: Automatic Farms

It's also worth mentioning that the server has a tiny amount of lag at all times. Not enough for a player to notice, but enough to foil an intricate redstone clock and piston system for harvesting. This is just inherent to online play.

So small scale testing is recommended before you make a megafarm and realize it's too complicated.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Disable Mob Spawning on Chunks
« on: 19 Nov 2015, 22:04:23 »
I'm in favor of making mob spawns optional in the wild.

I have over a hundred chunks mined out, and recently spent several days (DAYS) covering them all in slabs. While constantly under attack by those mobs.

What is the max level?

Actually is there any way we could have access to the details of what comes at what level with the MCMMO skills, and what exactly the settings are regarding the stuff each server can tune and tweak?

Just the information, the raw data. It would be satisfying to some of us to be able to calculate certain things like "brew this many potions to get to level 5000 alchemy" or "maximum farmer's diet rank comes at level XXXX of herbalism"

There are some things we can calculate on our own, like how much certain probabilities go up with each level, but it would be nice if all variables for all skills and abilities were set out in a table somewhere so we can just go and look.
