I've been wondering if it would be possible for the staff to perhaps make an event schedule detailing when certain parties/events will be celebrated on the Noobstown server, as I believe that not every national holiday in the world is celebrated on the server. Obviously I know that the big holidays like Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc are celebrated around the time that they occur but it would still be nice to have a schedule to see when things are planned to happen. I don't expect you to be able to set dates in stone but it would be nice to know approximate dates that correspond to specific events. Maybe you could do an online calendar with the events pinned up on them? I dunno I'm just making up ideas now.

EDIT: I've also just thought that this would be a great idea because it will give towns a head start to plan for any decorations/events they want to do within their town!

Uh so I was just on the server and I wanted to get some fresh Veteran armour so I did /kit veteran and then it said I don't have permissions. I didn't think much of it, just thought it was a little bug. I then did /list to find out I was a Member.. last time I checked on the website it says I'm still a Veteran. I don't really know what's going on.

Background Information:

Blackthorn was a town that was started on April 10th 2012 and began with a big notice of members wanting to join the town. The town grew rapidly with incredible help and unity from the Town Assistants, and even the residents at times. In the first week or so the town had grown a staggering amount and had started to form a well fitted community with peaceful members and fair town staff.

How to join:

All town rules are displayed at the town spawn. Including the standard server rules. The basic respectful nature and not excess swearing will keep you in the town.

What can the town offer?:
A friendly and calm atmosphere full of just as friendly and respectful community. Great attractions and sites to see and take in with your friends, or just by yourself.

Yes. It's another post about wanting more moderators for the server. At first there was only a handful of people agreeing with this idea, but now it's getting beyond a joke and a lot more serious. There's a high frequency of absence of moderators on the server. I know that this forum is here for when there are no moderators online, to report people of numerous rule breaking, but we shouldn't always have to rely on this forum. This server has moderators for a reason, to moderate the server, but there can't be any moderation on the server if no mods are online to effectively carry it out. I'm not entirely bothered about TZ's as long as it isn't another American mod, there's too many of them already. I'd preferably like to see an introduction of another European Mod personally. I've already read posts explaining that the server already has Geoboy66 and the Admins from England, but that isn't the point. The Admins are busy with more important errands and shouldn't have to deal with griefs etc. I hope this doesn't turn into a huge discussion but I really really really hope that someone, reading this, will think highly of it and take this on board.

As you may or may not know I am creating my own town (after everything that happened yesterday..), I have discussed names with some of my future TA's and we have brainstormed these ideas, I am open to criticism of the names and new ideas.

Introduction:
OakHaven is a large town with active, cheerful, helping and considering community. The members of OakHaven chose the town because of its great scenery, picturesque landscape and enthusiastic residents. The town of OakHaven started off fairly quiet but then the residents poured in and the town has grown greatly! The Town Assistants and Mayor are all generous and open to helping people with queries around the town, so don't hesitate to ask them.

Plot Rules:
House plots cost: 250 Noobz
These plot rules are in place to keep our town looking good and clean, we don't want a messy looking town!
Rule #1: Keep the stone brick-slabs around your house.
Rule #2: Don't disrupt other people's plots, for example: growing trees.
Rule #3: Only two house plots per person are permitted, with the addition of one farming plot (scroll down for more info on farming plots).
Rule #4: Build appropriate and nice houses.
Rule #5: (OPTIONAL) -  You are permitted to have a mine in your plot if you would like one.

NOTICE: If any of these rules are not followed; you will be given a two day warning before we have to handle it ourselves.

Farming Plots:
Farming plots cost: 500 Noobz
There is a special island positioned near OakHaven Road that is surrounded by leaves. Farming plots are to be purchased only to build a farm on. Just like with House Plots, there are certain rules and guidelines you must follow if you want to keep your farming plot, they are:
Rule #1: No griefing or stealing from other farms (Just in-case you give people permission for your plots).
Rule #2: Do not have a trees within your farm or we will cut them down and give you a warning.
Rule #3: Don't destroy the hedges surrounding your plot.
Rule #4: Only build suitable attractions on your plot, for example: a melon or pumpkin farm.
Rule #5: One farming plot per person, this is to save plots for other people.

Many people will agree with me here, there are far too many towns with little to none amounts of residents! Just today at least four towns dissolved because they didn't have enough money in the bank. This shows that they are not dedicated players. The town price should be raised to somewhere nearer 250,000 Noobz (maybe) as this will prove to everyone that they are truly determined to keep up a town and understand how much hard work it is.

As a token of mine and Zalanaar's gratitude to the awesome admin Fatnoob, we decided to make a statue of him in honour of all the great work he's done for this server. I believe the scale is 1:4? I'm not sure. Please Note:Zalanaar made this statue - I just got the majority of the resources required to build it.
