I hope you are all doing well and preparing for the big holiday season ahead! ~ This is just going to be a quick update to inform you all of the current progress with Version 6.0 and a plan of action.

As you know, we've been quite unlucky with Minecraft updates as of recent and thus has set us quite far back in terms of releasing "V6". Such quite humorous comments have been thrown around, we'd like to share a few: "V6 is like Half life 3" and "V6 won't happen in my lifetime" but I can assure you, it will and we have a plan of action!

On the 20th of December I and other members of the team officially break away for the holidays (Don't know if it is the same for you guys) which means we can start focusing on preparing the version based on what Bukkit has released thus far, which is moderately stable. This means, with regret, we won't have a December release . This is obviously because of Christmas being 5 days following and members of the team spending time with family (rightly so). However, we have quite a large break which will roughly last until the 20-29th of January which we plan to slot the release sometime during the 2nd-29th. Unfortunately, I cannot give a specific date but use that as a rough estimate. When we feel it is appropriate to restart the launch clock we will do so.

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and I apologize once again for the community not being as one for the back end of this year. As always, I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your dedication and support towards the server and your ability to keep the community as one big strong family.

We hope the new year ahead will be the most enjoyable for all of you, and we can't wait to see you on the server in 2014.

Remember! The Calendar is still on-going via the site and you can still keep picking up some tokens and other rewards during the Holiday season. Don't miss out!

- Donation coupons will have a new period set after we release to give you ample amount of time to spend and use them.

Also, I don't think "unlucky" even begins to describe how the release of V6 has been. What was supposed to be "one or two weeks" has become 4 months. I remember someone saying on one of the topics relating to the V6 release "it is usually near the end of a man's suffering that he thinks he can take no more." Well I thought that for a while, but then when 1.7 came out and waiting started again, I lost all interest in Minecraft. I'm not playing at all until V6 comes out, so until then, I'll be playing my iPod and Xbox and being on the forums. I wish it was up BEFORE Christmas break, but I guess that won't work. Knowing my luck, it'll open on the 2nd (the day I get back from vacation).

im glad about the delay because i am getting faster internet on the 3rd and won't miss out on the release.
right now when i play multiplayer on mc, i have a 3 minute delay between the server and my computer, so the faster internet should help!

half Life 3 is a game that doesn't exist yet and is intended to be a sequel to Valve's hit game Half Life 1 and 2. Instead, they made Half Life 2: Episode 2. Valve have refused to comment about it, so it is mainly just used as a joke by people. People also, as a joke, take certain numbers from something and do sums with it to equal 3, then say that confirms Half Life 3.
