Title: Don't Update Yet!

Later today Vanilla Minecraft 1.5 is supposed to be released. This does not however mean that Noobstown will also be updated today.

As with all Minecraft updates please do not update if you wish to continuing playing on our server for the time being.

We will post information about doing so once we have updated our server; we have to wait for Bukkit to release a safe and stable version and for our plugins to be updated to run with the latest version.

It usually takes 1-2 weeks. Dunno though. I remember one update was like instant. ;)

It all depends on how fast Bukkit and the plugins we use update. With the 1.5 Pre-Release having been out for this exact reason for about a week, we might be able to update over the weekend. It also depends on if they changed anything between the Pre-Release and official release.

Post by: Miner_man123456 on 13 Mar 2013, 13:41:17: Hopefully nobody that doesn't read the forum often update :S Cause the 2 year anniversary and all that stuff is in 5 days, would suck for them to miss it (If the server isn't updated by then)

Make sure to say in the in game chat from time to time that they do not want to update their client, that way does that do not read the forum also get the message :)

Post by: jeremiza on 13 Mar 2013, 18:29:17: go download "magic launcher" and in the setup button there is a option to select the .jar file to load minecraft in. Your pc keeps a copy of all the old versions it has installed so you can just select 1.4.x and still play.

The next update, I left the computer while Minecraft loaded and my daughter updated thinking she was helping. Now she knows, and knowing is half the battle! Some people may play on multiple servers, and others may play single player to get experience with the update before the server updates.

It is not up to them or it would be updated the update whenever the bukkit is updated.
