Title: Network Update
Post by: Foob on 28 Dec 2014, 21:13:39
Snowman Token? /petshop to exchange for a Snowman Pet!

Hello all,

I'm pleased to announce that we have been assigned a new IP and the connection issues directly effecting players with higher PING (European) and in some extreme cases US players, should now be resolved. We apologize for these issues that have been ongoing since the Summer, we continued to chase the problem and have eventually come to resolution, thank you for your patience.

The lag/mass disconnections should no longer occur on Noobstown.

The connection address to the server has not changed.

Just wanted to let you know we're getting severe lag spikes now, server-wide. It keeps happening every other minute it feels like.

So it seems we still have some server-wide lag from what I and others have been experiencing in the last hourish or so, I thought you'd like to know that as an update.

There is a lot of lag around the 8-11 PM GMT for me personally ever since the update, so maybe you could look into that as well.

Yeah, time for me to leave a reply here as well. Before the Network Update I never had any lag whatsoever. Now I am experiencing heavy block lag multiple times a day. Only made things worse for me.

Title: Concerning the new IP
Post by: Nariaki on 28 Jan 2015, 12:04:06
Well I feel like this IP change has only made things worse, not to mention the extreme lag everyone gets once in a while, depending on when you're online. I find it extremely annoying to lag out like this several times a day and the lag kills people as well and this is getting too far, so I wonder if there is the possibility to change the IP back to the old one. I don't really think I'm alone about this (even though I might be wrong).

Just my constructive feedback, we've been getting massive lag spikes every 5 minutes, in the last handful of days, during the late UK hours.

Hey guys,

Quick update: We've been experience a number of attacks on our IP over the past few weeks resulting in the disconnection issues, we're looking into solutions for this. We are also experiencing a memory leak which we are working to resolve, this is what causes rubber banding and other lag related issues. As of today we will be restarting the server once per day to refresh the memory until we pin point the problem, we apologize for the inconveniences this is causing to your game play.
