Update: Arrived at New York safe and sound!

Hey all,

I am pleased to announce Version 6.0 will finally open on the 7th of February at 9pm GMT (What is it in my timezone? (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=V6+Launch&iso=20140207T21&p1=136)). I and other members of the team and thankful that the project is finally coming to a close, after a series of bad luck and hours upon hours of developing/planning headaches. Just recently we've been having issues with our network in Chicago and are now forced to make the move to New York, this will happen on either the 29th/30th next week. So if you live near/in New York you are now even closer to the machine; Yay!

Now for the important information: Release Info!

What's happening on release day?

On the night of the release, we'll be opening the server three hours earlier for VIP and Veteran members. These players will be auto-whitelisted and will be able to connect when the countdown hits (00 | 00 | 00 | 00). After this time a post will be created in which we will be white listing members manually, the reason for this is that due to both technical and stability issues we think the best outcome of a stable and safe start to the version would be to keep the influx of players completely under control.

This means if you are not VIP/Veteran YOU will not be white listed automatically and will have to request access on the post, we will only be accepting members that played in V5 for the first week and will be white listing EVERYONE that makes a reply (no application required). Players will be white listed in intervals and white listing may/will slow down depending on issues that occur or maintenance going on.

What to expect within the first 3 hours:

- Unexpected issues
- Bugs, Glitches, Crashes
- Random/Unannounced maintenance's/hot fix

What to expect within the first week

- Unexpected issues
- Bugs, Glitches, Crashes
- Announced frequent/random maintenance's/hotfix

Will the donation shop be live on release?

Yes, the donation shop will be live on release, however, you will only be able to purchase VIP upgrades/lifetime for the first week. After the period of the BETA week, we'll start adding more packages for the donation system, reason being is that issue will occur within the first week and we don't want to create more issues around donation gifts being lost etc.

If I buy VIP will I have access to the early 3 hours?

Yes, you can buy VIP and be auto-whitelisted into the first three hours/BETA Week.

Coupons

Donation coupons will be sent out throughout the first week at random intervals, if you are still waiting on receiving coupons from the points convert, please be patient. You will receive them eventually!

Guides

During the days leading up to the release guides will be posted about certain features of the server, those being for example: the Chunk system/Auction etc.

I already know I won't be able to apply a that time (Friday night) and I also know that there will be a lot of people here so I really hope the queue will be over by the day after else I won't be able to play at all that weekend :|

I was in the top 100 active players and my understanding of that was that we got Veteran status for V6 but my status on the site still says carpenter.

So I was wondering if I am veteran and it just doesn't say it or I am not and I just miss read it?

Plus if I am veteran and it just doesn't say it yet will I be able to get on in the first few hours?

Yes you are a veteran and will get into the server early. Nobody who is a veteran has gotten their veteran title yet but im sure they will add it later.

im pretty sure if they get updated for just bug fixes then it goes from lets say 1.7.4 to 1.7.6 and if it adds in new content it changes from lets say 1.8 to 1.9.

Im not much of a fan of the new stone block types in 1.8, They dont look as smooth as I hoped them to be.
Sure texture packs would change them, but I wanted them to be smooth looking by default, other than that, 1.8 has a lot of amazing and usefull stuff in its sleeve.

You'll need to wait until the official thread is made for you to post on. It should be up around the same time if not just a little before the server comes up.

Regardless of any setbacks, they are awesome. They do this all for free on their own time so that we can have a fun place to play... Not to mention all of the setbacks were out of their hands.

True, we can also thank minecraft for half of it cause they had to release 1.7 xD

Yes you are a veteran and will get into the server early. Nobody who is a veteran has gotten their veteran title yet but im sure they will add it later.

That is for the veterans and VIPs. The clock will hit zero and all early release users will be able to join, then the clock will be set to three hours... When it runs out, the rolling whitelist is going to start for all other members.

How are you using Noobscraft then? Smartphone, tablet?

I'd venture to say that if you post more details, there's bound to be somebody here that can help troubleshoot the problem. New thread with full specs and configuration, and what you've tried so far?

I'd venture to say that if you post more details, there's bound to be somebody here that can help troubleshoot the problem. New thread with full specs and configuration, and what you've tried so far?
Yeah that's probably a better idea, I'll get one up sometime today.

Im absolutely excited to see what people think of it ingame, and ofcourse to admire all work the admins have been doing, I wanna thank everyone for supporting the team and me as we were constructing v6! Its much appreciated.

no its not awesome its not that good tons of cables behind what you can see there, today is tidy up day :)

Box has roughly 70ms latency to Telehouse london and then a bit more (100ms) to homes :) and in the US it is roughly at most 70 for the west coast so NY should be balanced very well

I was wondering the same thing.
I think I remember seeing Lawrence say that he will be giving the veteran to people over the course of the next few days, might be wrong though.

No gamergirlxo please dont punch anything. Craftymatt13 and my little girl who was your "shadow" on v5 would be really upset. She has told us several times she misses her gamergirl. Are you ready for a shadow again? lol

And OMG. I posted the above just a few min ago and when I pulled it up to look at it, I saw VETERAN. YEAAAA. I think I am as just as excited as my husband craftymatt13 for the release. 23 hours 49 min 57, 56, 555, 54, 53 52 51 50. I could sit here and do that for the next 23 hours I am so excited. I might get really tired tho.
