Title: Time to begin - Release date
Post by: Foob on 19 Oct 2013, 01:58:43
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSN7CT1aQAg# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSN7CT1aQAg#)

Hey all,

I am happy to announce that Noobstown will re-open its doors on the 25th of October 2013 Friday) at 8pm BST( for a 3 hour closed beta. During this time, Veteran, Supporters and VIP players will be able to connect. 11pm BST will mark the release of open beta, allowing everyone to connect.

Want to know when this is in your time?
Noobstown Early Access (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Noobstown+V6+Early+Access&iso=20131025T20&p1=136&ah=3)
Noobstown Release to Public (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Noobstown+Public+Release&iso=20131025T23&p1=136)

Thanks to Applessmillion for the Time & Date conversions

As there are a lot of new systems in place, please understand that teething issues will most likely occur during the first couple of weeks after release. You can expect maintenance to be going on multiple times a day, at any point and unannounced. All bug reports and feedback are appreciated as always, and we'll be working around the clock to re-build the stability that the community grew used to in v5.

Once again, we would like to thank you all for your incredible patience and understanding during this whole process.

Let the new era and fun begin, good luck and enjoy the experience!

noooooo! i'll be asleep or in school at that time on that day! possibly school...at least v6 is here. SAVE ME SOME IRON INGOTS! lol

Edit: wait scratch that. i'll be done with school at that time. but still. prob wont be able to get on.

Edit: but hoorah V6 is finally here!

Edit: well after more calculation i figured out that i get out of school AFTER the 3 hours veteran,VIP, early access beta closes and the actual beta opens. astonishing how i managed to overlook that...

Well...we now know that not only are the admins some of the best builders i've seen but some of the best Video makers ive seen. One day when we'll be almost into V7 or late in V6 well remember the times we had in V5 and the wait for V6. and a question is the clock set for the early release people or the normal release?

p.s. foob I love when the songs in your update videos relate to the video. It's amazing what a song can add to a video to make it that much more exciting. :)

Sadly, I'll miss the first half-hour and the last half-hour of the early access,  but this is timed perfectly between when I get home from school and have to leave for stage crew for my school's play. :D

Can't wait to take over one of those volcanoes too!

If you do the math you can see that it's showing the time of the early release.

(you say "real" but you mean "public". The server is actually operative, even if it has limited access)

I would assume the real release since that's when majority of the members will be able to play.

yeah but they cloud always make the timer go to the public release after it runs down to 0 for the early release.

Just because someone chooses to do some thing that you choose not to do doesn't mean they aren't responsible, but I'm glad you're going to work.

You are way wrong on this one gamer.  It has nothing to do with choice.  Not only is it irresponsible like Reigando says, it's deliberately dishonest.  You might consider putting yourself in the place of the employer.  You might think differently.

Though, as you are both veteran noobs, I respect both of your opinions, and I really mean that, you don't know everyone's work situation. Live and let live.

Grizz,

Telling people at work that you are sick when you are not, is lying.  Doing so in order to stay home to play a game is irresponsible in the highest order.  It has nothing to do with work situation or choice.  If I was a boss and found out someone called in sick to play a game, they'd be fired on the spot.  To any of you noobs out there who might be considering doing such a thing, be a grown up and tell your boss the truth.

The minute someone is obviously dead wrong, they bark at people to get back on topic, even though they themselves commented and participated in the "off-topic" discussion.  Amazing.  Had you not wrongly attempted to correct Reigando, I would not have had to correct you Gamer.

Oh yea, V6 is coming, yea.

Easy bud. I never said weather it was right or wrong to skip work to game, nor did I say I was right or wrong. I just said you never know another persons situation. Live and let live. Am I "dead wrong" for thinking that?

Also, I don't bark sir.

Grizz,

My comment wasn't directed to you Grizz, but rather to gamergirl.  I tried to make that evident by updating my original post.  My apologies if it appeared directed at you.  Lying about sick leave can get people in a lot of trouble, including suspension or getting fired.  I would hate to see that happen to someone.  You can play this game anytime, but losing a job for lying can stay with you a long time.

And with that, moving swiftly back on topic! V6 has been long-anticipated and the suspense is driving me crazy now, I'm waiting to be overwhelmed by all the new commands and stuff upon release!

The new commands better be easy to remember lol. I already know like 1 command already, that's if they use the horse plugin from apoc. :P

Who needs commands when you have menus?

fatnoob. when you say menus. do you mean like the ones from mineapoc with the menu nether star and the backpack chest. that type of menu?

Edit: oh also fatnoob. will the v6 veterans get their veteran title on the 25th or some time before that?

People will be getting their veteran rank as soon as the server is up which is the 25th so yeah lol

Are parts of the forum getting a clean-up on the release date? Like deleting everything from V5 in the towns & nations forum? Might be usefull for the new people joining after the reset so they don't start looking for V5 towns because they sound so good in the forum (not knowing that these town do no longer exist).

Will the shop reopen at the release date?

We have been cleaning up most of the old official V5 information to avoid confusion to new users, we'll continue to remove or lock outdated topics that no longer are useful to avoid further confusion.

If by shop you mean, Donation? We hope we can open it for the release but out of everything we need to prepare for the release, that isn't high priority right now.

Yes, I meant the one where you can buy more vip-time, mobspawners and such. But it makes sense of course that serverstability and such has much more priority.

Honor, respect, devotion to duty.

Unfortunately, too few people know what those words mean.

woohoo. at least i can make someone happy. i am extremely unhappy right now. my english teacher just dumped a 1 page essay on us WITH NO NOTICE AT ALL. tells us we should get it done by tomorrow because, surprise surprise, the teacher is dumping YET ANOTHER ESSAY on us. i'm just thinking 'what the heck?!we're not machines!!' and its just really making me unhappy. so not like i'd be able to do v6 this weekend anyway...

Edit: i mean i am in 11th grade. but that many essays in just 3 days? come on. thats completely stupid.
