Title: Time to say Goodbye!

Hello Noobs!

When I was 16 I first started this server, with my brother and cousin - together we opened Noobstown, later joined by my close friend Lawrence, and through this partnership have taken the server to heights beyond my expectations.

I’m now 22 years old, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working on this project, being apart of this community, seeing friendships form, relationships form and real life meets occur due to this little thing we call Noobstown - it’s truly inspiring to see and I’m so happy that i’ve been a small part of that. I’ve decided that it’s best for the community and server that I step down from project lead, this is due to lack of time and the fact i’m moving onto another large part of my life and I’m unable to squeeze such large dedication into this project as I was once able to as a teen.

My priority for this project was always putting the community first, and I did not want to give up this project to see that fall apart - so Lawrence will take the helm and continue to supply the community with Noobstown, allowing memories to continued to be shared now and in the future.

I would like to thank you all for your support, kindness and fun over the years, I’ve loved every minute of running this server, meeting new people, making new friends, learning a whole lot… there are so many positives I can take from this part of my life, running this server and meeting people from across the globe has been a once in a lifetime experience.

But for now, it’s time for me to leave and give the project new hope, new life in good hands - Noobstown has a bright future, an amazing community and brilliant history.

Thank you for making this thing a reality for me and so many others.

I will be leaving over the next few months, eventually phasing and transitioning the server, hosting and assets to Lawrence. There is no need for panic, this should not disturb your gameplay or data.

Everyone is always so grateful for all the work, time and dedication that has been put into Noobscraft. If you keep working as hard in the future, nothing can stop you & you will achieve all your life goals.

You will be greatly missed as you are loved tons here. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to meet you & experience some of the events & fun times here while you were part of it. <3

I don’t see how there’s any chance that someone like you can fail in your future endeavors, but I’ll say good luck to you anyway just in case you need a little. :)

Post by: crashb4 on 17 Jul 2016, 20:31:10: As a player of both mineapoc and noobstown, I can honestly say that my experience on both has been fantastic because of the time and effort that you, the other admins, mods and chatmods have put in. The community on both servers was strong, especially on noobstown and I want to say thank you for helping create that.

All the best for the future, no doubt you will succeed in whatever you do going forward.

Im glad to have recently become staff cause i love this place its like another family , it won't be the same without you we love you foob!

So many servers come and go because their owners simply lose interest...running one for six years is an amazing commitment. I remember how impressed I was to come back after three years to find that Noobstown was still run by the same people, with some of the same core players that I remembered.

With that said, real life trumps gaming every time, and life must eventually move on. I wish you all the best, and have no doubts that the transition will be handled with the same care and attention you have always given to Noobstown. :)

Thank you Foob... For giving me something to pour my heart and soul into for many years!
I started 4 years ago and the server wasn't really so broadened as it is today... But my god look what you turned this little fledgling start up into!
We will miss you!, We will miss the cooperation of you and Lawrence!, But most importantly we will miss our main man Foob at the helm!

Thanks for creating a brilliant escape from the real world for us, And thanks for caring for so long and we know you will keep caring even when you do leave!

The finitude of life and it's events is something which fills it with the most immense wonder and happiness but conversely, with great sadness and despondency.

I share everything that Joe says in his message and would iterate the sentiment many times over. However, lest it may seem that I am making this about myself, I should just wish Joe the best in his future endeavours and thank him and all of the community for making this dream--nay, merely a glimmer in our eyes, many years ago--possible.

I am beyond honoured to have been apart of this truly outstanding Minecraft server, and being able to see it as it has grown from a young, fresh-faced server on the block along with the thousands of others like it, to being a giant in its class standing out against the sea of other Minecraft servers. I also have had the total privilege of working alongside the server and its administrative team when I was a moderator. As well as having the excellent time working with a top-notch moderator team when I was the Head-Moderator of the server. I have such fond, exciting and fun memories from working with the amazing Noobstown team, which has been expertly lead by Foob, Waterworth and Lawrence.

Although we like to reminisce on the past, the future is just as bright too. I know that Lawrence is an excellent leader and will not only take amazing care of the Noobstown we know and love oh so much, but also continue to oversee its growth and development in a way that we would want it to.

Thank you Foob (& also the administrative and moderator teams) for all the countless hours, days, months, years and more that have been put in to make Noobstown not just another Minecraft server, but a home online. A home where we spent time and made connections and friends (& creations!) we will never forget.
I know I will never forget the amazing experience that Noobstown has brought me, (and will continue to do so in the future! :D )

I wish you all the best and more in the future Foob! I hope to someday be apart of another one of your truly outstanding creations!

You've done so much for me and my life whether you've known it or not. Just having this server while growing up with it's family friendly aura and helpful community. I was very glad and fortunate to be able to help for nearly 2 years as a staff member, but I understand when it's time to step down due to things happening in real life.

I wish you the best in everything you do in life and I hope you can stay enthusiastic no matter what happens.

When i saw the title i clicked read more and then discovered that Foob is leaving :( Foob, we will miss you and thank you for all you have done on noobstown and thank you for making it. We will miss you :'(

Much love and appreciation for everything you've done with Noobstown. This was my first stop when I first started playing minecraft with my kids and it is still the only server I play on. Noobstown will forever be home. <3

It has been hard to see Waterworth go, and now you, but I wish you the best of luck for the future. Thank you for giving us all a great server to play on, and I hope to see you on again for visits.

I will miss the loving Foob touch, I started near the end of V5, and have missed some time lately with a space game not MC . I'll stick around and help It's Lawrence in any way I can.
