Title: a question about spawners

Hi guys I have a skelly spawner in my town, I have left the plot of land its on unclaimed, i was just wondering if you can claim the plot but enable it so spawn mobs or anything like that , this wouldnt bother me only i dont want the abby i'm building on top of the spawner to be greifed  :3

you can claim it and do /plot toggle mobs to spawn hostile mobs on it
