for some reason I cannot post items onto the AH.

It goes through he motions, gets removed from my inventory, says successful, but never shows up on the AH listing, nor is it returned.

thoughts?

This happens for me with damaged chain armour.

ok so some items work - e.g. the stick I posted today, while other don't - e.g. party hats
