My question is, are Vanilla minecraft xp grinders allowed? (like converting a dungeon to some sort of pit that can hold as many mobs as possible from a spawner then killing them yourself with a sword or other combat weapon).
im curious if that falls under "exploiting" or not.
Edit: figured out a better rephrasing of my question.
Would making a Vanilla Minecraft XP grinder count as exploiting?

I don't believe it is exploiting since you are just using the in-game mechanics to get some XP levels. The problem comes when you start afk-farming, which is not allowed.

Correct, using a spawner to grind xp is allowed aslong as you don't afk farm it. :)

idk how afk farming works. i know of no ways to to auto-kill mobs while afk. can someone explain the concept to me please?

It shouldn't need explained. Just don't do it. As long as you don't leave your keyboard, you should be good. :)

It shouldn't need explained. Just don't do it. As long as you don't leave your keyboard, you should be good. :)
sorry. whenever i hear of something my mind cannot rest until it is explained to me, it happens a lot. frankly im overly curious and i need to know everything on a subject when i hear of it for it to stop driving me crazy. its a habit.
