Title: Beacon in wild chunk home.
Post by: bwhit1256 on 25 May 2014, 22:23:49
Anyone know if beacon perks work at wild chunk homes? That's a lot of noob's to invest in one if it will not work on land you  own in the wild.  :/

Beacons are disabled in the wild due to the fact it can effect other users who live nearby you with the beacon effects.
However, beacons aren't disabled in the other worlds. (I.e town world)

Yeah, assuming someone build right next to you at best, also assuming that you had placed a beacon as close to the side as possible and keeping it in your area which is five spaces in with a radius of 50 and a distance of 2 chunks (32 blocks straight) you can affect 13 of their blocks in the chunk hence why you can't get any boosts because you would give them regeneration protection jump or speed without them wanting a boost from a beacon. Also why beacons are cheaper.
