Title: Bud Switch not working
Post by: Timmyethy123 on 13 Sep 2016, 13:59:31
Hiya,

I was starting on a new automated farm using bud switches but it won't seem to work. It pulses 1 time but after that first pulse it breaks and it isn't working as a bud switch anymore. The top sticky piston will stay retracted so I have to break the redstone torch behind the top piston to make it extend again. And that can't be the point of a bud switch ;p.

Please help.

~Tim

There may possibly be server-side involvement. Ever since the server was moved over to another machine, my identical piston doors now cease to work (in particular the double piston component), without any modification whatsoever.

Hi guys. Last night Larry helped me and said that because of some dupe glitches a fast bud switch doesn't work and that they have configured that a piston can't re-extend within a certain time period. But if I catch you shadow, I would love to see what you've came up with.

As I showed you in-game it definitely is possible to make the bud switch you wanted, to work in exactly the same way. If you need further assistance please just ask though.

At the time of your post nothing had changed relating to pistons since well before the transfer. There is a minimal delay in them being able to re-extend after retracting on Noobstown, but unless you are fast pulsing them you shouldn't really notice it, or you should be able to make a workaround :). If you see me in-game though just ask and I'll try to assist you with your door problem.
