Title: Edit old posts?
Post by: Hyperspacechewy on 10 Feb 2019, 22:05:32
So I was going through and was trying to edit a post that I last edited last year, and it wouldn't let me. Am I blind, or is it programmed so you can't edit after a certain amount of time?

There is a limit of a few hours; after which you can't edit posts, correct. This it to try and ensure that conversations don't become confusing with sudden changes and so quoting makes somewhat sense.

If it's a relevant update you're welcome to post a new topic or reply to an existing one though. If you think there is a valid reason why you might need to edit something which is much older I'm open to hearing and potentially changing the timer.

Never noticed. I was trying to edit a post about my town to keep it current and not make multiple on the forums. Other than keeping the forums cleanish I don't see a reason to change it. I was just curious.
