Title: Height Limit for Mob Spawning?

Is there such a thing as mob not spawning after a certain Y-level? If so, what would it be?

This depends on the specific type of mob or animal. If you want to know about a specific one please explain. The specific spawning rules for all mobs are explained in good detail on the Minecraft Wiki (http://www.minecraftwiki.net) though, so that might be a good place for you to look; we haven't changed any spawning conditions in relation to height.
