Help for someone who hasn't played in 2-3 years...
« on: 10 Oct 2017, 23:35:13 »
Okay. So here's the thing. I have abandonment issues, or something, because I've been away far too long. I played on this server years ago.

My dad and I started playing together and eventually him and I played on our own server/realm. And we attempted to build Hogwarts. Like a major project of late hours eating at the computer and little to no sleep, and it burnt me out. To the point I quit playing minecraft all together.

At the time they had just introduced bunnies, banners...some other things that I can't remember.
So, what else is new? I know they've added dungeons to oceans but I've never seen one. And I saw a short video of someone exploring the nether with new mobs? What's going on with this game?

Ps. Sorry in advance for the major grammatical errors. Trying to navigate the forum on my cell is difficult, trying to correct typos is near impossible. :P

Lots of things are new! Lots of new blocks, a few changes with combat. The ocean temples are what make up the guardian grinders in the wild, which are the ocean dungeons you're talking of. There's new things to do with different tools. Sometime we're on at the same time, I can show you a few of the new things, maybe we can jump in teamspeak together, to make it flow a little more smoothly too!

I'm glad you came back, looking forward to seeing you around!

Yes please! I really can't say when I'll be on again (work/husband/life keep me on my toes), but if I catch you on I'll try. :) thanks Killjoy!

Loads of things have changed since you played years ago, and I suppose since the update with bunnies. It might be best to just throw yourself in at the deep end and try things out, and ask as you discover things you're not sure about.

We only updated to 1.12 a few months ago after being on 1.8 for ages, so you're not that far behind us in the new features on Noobstown anyway. You can see a list of the more known Minecraft changes from 1.9-1.12 on the Minecraft Wiki:
If you ever need any help in-game feel free to ask myself or just generally in chat as most people here are pretty helpful and will explain things if you need :).
