Title: Mod related question and potential list of allowed mods?
Post by: Yurka_Maku on 20 May 2012, 03:46:34
InvTweaks has gotten a update, and I'm asking if its allowed on the server. The most it does is sort items in inventory, refill the hotbar when its depleted of an item, with the item of the same type, and auto equips armor. Under the condition of Auto-Equip is off, considering its an unfair edge in PVP (though I never PVP).

Also the gallery (http://imgur.com/a/yDqmB#0) for the UI changes, and options it has for controls. The Inventory UI changes (http://imgur.com/ayDcC).

I think this would be a cool thing to add to the server, can you use /sort with this plugin?

It does give you an unfair advantage over players in PvP, so I would say that it isn't allowed.

I've not considered getting the mod at all, but how would it give you an unfair advantage if you'll be keeping everything in your inventory soon, after you die, even in PVP?

Jay, it would be auto-equipping armor. That's the part that gives unfair advantage.

Why would you go into PvP without armor on anyways...

You'd have the potential to lure people in by not wearing armor, then autoequipping it and fighting back once they closed the distance. A very specific unfair advantage, but still one regardless.

You wouldn't lose anything if someone was to do that anyway. I do see what you guys are meaning, but that's one small thing that wouldn't cause any problems unless someone can't be bothered walking from spawn back to the PVP after someone luring them and wants to complain, which is just silly.
