Harry I have this building I am planning to make in v6 and I want to know if you want to house something for the town in it (ex. offices, meeting rooms, etc.) I have pictures of it unfinished in v5 and several floor plans in creative mode including the elevators and the lobby. The building has a massive area for shops on the first 3 levels. After that there are 3 medium sized floors that have no purpose yet (possibly restaurants?) Then there are eleven 14x14x3 square rooms that could possibly be used as meeting rooms for towns or maybe nations (I don't really know that's why I'm asking). part 1 of 2

After that is my personal apartment. Then finally is the observation deck on the top floor which you can go outside and see all of utopia! The basement floor can be connected to a subway line that I can make later on and the building could be like a central station. below the railway is my personal sugarcane farm. The elevators are very simple to make and don't require redstone. the building is mostly made out of sandstone, glass panes, stone brick, and either spruce wood or dark oak wood. It will sit on a 32x32 plot, be about 140 blocks high and it is a model of the Chrysler building in New York City. I have pictures if you want to see it but you're going to have to tell me how first. I am going to build it no matter what but was just asking if you wanted it for something for the town. part 2

Show me the pics over PM. Also the railway station we may be having throughout town with designated train stops so I'll keep you informed on that.

In order to install a fully functioning subway with stations I need 15 blocks of space between plots. I have a picture for an example.(red wool represents distance from road to plot)

You can do whatever you want with that space but I'm just telling you what I need.

You can do whatever you want with that space but I'm just telling you what I need.
The chunks are 16x16, and I could do the redstone work using much less space than that so we could have systems under the roads (but it could only be 14 blocks so there is a wall between people's houses and the subway) connecting some important places around town. Leave the designing of the subway to us, but if you want to help us build it then go ahead, help is always appreciated.

It is a dual railed system(two rails going opposite directions so no conflicts on track), is automatic (don't have to leave the minecart when you enter a station just press a button to travel to the next station) and highly efficient (like I said no conflicts and can have as many stations as you want united in a circle). Now I was hoping on having a central station where the main subway rail stops once then can travel to the next station. Also in that station would be expressway rails that lead directly to a special area and back (ex. spawn) with maybe a few stops in between.

How about when the town is made and we are well off I can be the main architect/planner for the subway and central station? With your approval on designs of course.

I have done some exploring and my new design fits under the 14 block requirement and uses 1/4 the redstone with only 2 redstone dust actually used for each station.   :D

Smith and deebles and I may begin work on a small scale model of the tracks and a full scale model of the stations.

put detector rails with Redstone dust leading to dispensers leading upwards, put fireworks in them, so any time someone rides the subway, the people above will get fireworks :3

And that's actually a good idea but it would be really pricy for just a little show. Leave the fireworks displays for the Towny Games, drop parties, and other big town events (unless you want it for personal use)

The only picture of the possible subway central station I could upload (others are too big). Any opinions on what the ceiling and floor should be? Also is there a way to make pictures smaller so they can fit in a post?

Hmm... need more light for sure, colors are too dark. Layout needs to be more open and signs telling where the track is leading (leave that up to me). We might use your designs if they are good for the building style of town, but we may make our own stations with tracks designed by us.
