hey all I started with KochiraKoso, made the nation Yunaiteddo and people liked it,
but its a new server map, a new beginning, so time for a new name!
I will ofcours make a new nation but it wont be Yunaiteddo
the nation will begin with 3 towns:
MorningWood
MapleForge
(former) KochiraKoso
but we know we will have a new name.. but what will it be?
we (the mayors of the towns) decided we wanted the residents to have a say in this!
so here is a poll with names for the town and nation
suggestions are welcome and will be added to the poll if we all like the name and think its catchy (so start thinking! :3 ).
the winning 2 suggestions (1 from the town names and 1 from the nation names) will be chosen as the new names!
so vote now, or leave a comment with a suggestion

the main line of the name for the town:
something with blossom
there will be a huge pink blossom tree in the middle of the main island
and we want that tree to be the simbol for the town

we dont have any names yet for the nation so we will need suggestions :P

its just what I prefer
and Ill count the votes of my residents more then others,
but the whole community will hear the name sometimes, and I want the name to be liked so others want to join and the town will grow.
I'm not sure if it's just me but I don't like any of those names, sorry.

of name you prefer, are you thinking about names you would personally
prefer for you or names you prefer that best represents the community
you are creating. In evaluating your choices using this criteria will you
better be able to chose names that those within your community will
identify with.

I still want it to be
Japanese
and something about wood because of the nation
and there are 2 trees that can represent Japan: Blossom, Bonsai
and bonsai is small
I want a huge tree that will be as a symbol in the middle of the park,
again: bonsais are small, so only Blossom is left
thats kinda how I think XD

You still don't really get it from what I see.
Blossoms are just really feminine for a town
made up of mostly boys, and is to be in the
future. I don't know many dudes would like
to associate themselves with anything
"blossom".
You should figure out the possible names
yourself and allow others to vote on it keeping
in mind who your community consists of. It
has to be something that both you and your
community represents. A decision like this is
made by a leader. By naming your town you
are branding the cohabitation with a particular
idea.
I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, I'm
just trying to steer you in the right direction.

I think people should just see it as a name :) I think a Japanese name isn't a fuss or a name with "blossom" in it. Linda is right about it being a tree, It's not that feminine, but I see how people react to it being more of a girls choice of name. My opinion is that she's chosen a good name, It's a nice peaceful name. ;)

It *is* Linda's town. I think that offering us a selection of names for us to choose from is more than fair. She could name it whatever she wants. Anyhow, to quote Shakespeare, 'What is in a name?"

well the town name was gone in the town list after the problem was solved
guess there was a rollback or something :3

I always forget to care about other people...I'll tie a string on my finger to remember. :) Seriously though, I don't think they would take the time to look up what it means. I am good about looking things up and I still haven't gotten around to looking up what "KochiraKoso or Yunaiteddo' mean...Manekineko has the word 'man' in it for those who have posted with a phallic obsession. Sakura is even better; it is easy to spell.
