Video related question...
« on: 11 Nov 2013, 03:35:59 »
So about six months ago, I decided I wanted to start making LP's for the internet.  I purchased a custom built computer, and I think I've found my mic.  I'm still hesitant however. . .

Let me first say, this isn't some urge to become the next CaptainSparklez/Skydoesminecraft/Yogscast or anything.  I have a full time job and I love what I do.  This will simply be a hobby, perhaps a weekend thing only.  I was going to get a custom computer before I wanted to do LPs, but before I spend money on the mic (RodePodcast) I want to know, what else should I consider?  Software, graphics, music/audio.

All of these ideas excite me. . . but I'm feeling overwhelmed.  I don't just want to shoot 20 mins of nothing.  I want to edit clips, make my own sound effects/music, and even add logos or graphics to my videos.

Are there any videos out there with reviews/tutorials that are actually helpful?  I've done some searching on my own, but the tutorials are rather basic. (example: 1. have fun  2. don't be nervous 3. ect. ect. ect. . .)

:P

Well almost every youtuber using do edit sonyvegas pro 8-13 ,and record with fraps.
Also if you will do LP, you will need to upload the videos daily, (it can pre-recorded from the weekends)
but if you making tutorials, then you actually don`t need to record videos on daily base...
So, if you really have the time for it, then go for it. but if you have just 2 hr`s of time at week to record, then the LP would not work like that...

Hope its helped, i did not got to youtube stuff too deep, so i don`t actually know everything...

In some of the videos I've seen, not exactly Minecraft LP's but other gaming videos, they discuss another subject at the same time as playing. For instance "Black Ops Zombies and 'The Avengers' Review." You could do something like that. I don't watch Youtube much though.

But, I'm sure you'd have the support of the Noobs community. I watch Anime and Daniel, I'd surly subscribe to your channel.
