After temporarily abandoning my house it seems like some strange things have been happening inside of it recently. Maybe my house has become haunted?! Some say they've seen the herobrine wander around in there, others say they've even seen a long lost king near it. Most importantly, I had left my treasure in my basement before I left. Now I no longer dare to enter my own house. I hope nobody stole my treasure... Now if you can help me retrieve my treasure I'll happily share part of it with you. The first step in doing so would be getting down in to my basement and seeing what is out there. Try to make it in to the basement of my house and report back to me. (PM me on the forums) I also had a few protections in place to prevent people from intruding my house, so you might have to get around those somehow...

Official rules:

One prize will be available to someone who successfully manages to complete the challenge. If multiple people do so, a winner will be randomly drawn. The prize will be announced at a later moment.
Using /j, enderpearls or other methods to pass through doors, walls or floors is strictly prohibited.
Do not share passwords to doors with other players. Do not help other players get in to the house. Doing so reduces your chance of winning and ruins the challenge for other players.
Entering my house is completely at your own risk, you might die inside. Be sure to stow your inventory beforehand!

Tips:

Look around well for signs and get up close to them to read them. It is hard to spot them in the dark.
Bring a sword in case you encounter any mobs.
You can use /visit itisnotyou to leave the house at any time and return to the start
In order to complete the challenge you'll need to make it in to the large room of my basement.

Entries have now been closed. Over the past weeks many of you have tried recovering my treasure from my basement, however it proved to be a challenging task! The following people successfully completed the challenge (and submitted their evidence of this to me)

Now that my treasure has been recovered, it is time to share some of it with those whom helped retrieve it. From the 4 players whom successfully completed the entire challenge without cheating I've let random.org pick one winner. The lucky winner is llamalover224466! He/She bags him/herself with 100k, a mystery box, a piece of treasure and a participation token! All other people whom successfully completed the entire challenge will also receive a piece of treasure and a participation token. Contact me in game to collect your rewards! Lastly I'd like to thank everyone whom participated, including those whom didn't manage to complete it! Below I've added a tutorial how to complete my haunted house. The house will stay open for another week or two with mobs disabled for you to explore.

Walkthrough

This front door seems to be blocked, lets find another way in!
We take the vines up along the house and look over there! There's an open window!
It seems like the door is locked with a a password, lets look up one more level.
The password is right next to a lie. So it must be right next to this cake. We use the first letter of each block to form the password. Enchanting table, Diamond block, Wool, Air, Redstone Ore, Dispenser. So the password must be edward! (Till date nobody knows who Edward is)
The sign says we have to look a bit deeper for the next password.
This herobrine seems to be buried pretty deep, maybe herobrine is the next password?
This living room looks pretty dark.
Hey, whats that over there? A hole in the floor? Lets inspect it!
It takes us to this door. Time to make a trip to the town hall!
Seems like the mayor isn't here, but he left a note. Perhaps the next password is cake?
In this little room we find some mysterious items and a sign. Could it be that easy? Through the trapdoors we head in to the basement.
After looking around in some chests we find a code in here and we did it!
