yah i just got on and saw that my paintings were gone so i did /grief and went to put new ones up and nothing happened please what is going on

There is currently a bug in all of 1.5 Minecraft which means that paintings cannot be placed. This bug will be fixed when 1.5.1 is released and we update to it! http://www.mojang.com/2013/03/minecraft-1-5-1-pre-release/
