I know only a select few who will agree with me but I don't really care for mobs in the mining world. I go to the mining world to mine, cut down trees, get my excavation up, get sand, etc. not fight off a bunch of mobs. I know this is the reason for Minecraft, I understand that's how it was made but I just don't prefer it for this server when you're trying to get things done and level up quickly to get tokens and such.

Just an opinion + suggestion.

They are a part of Minecraft, and were only ever removed from the mining world (and other worlds) when we had issues with their spawn rates; as these have now been fixed the mobs have been re-enabled. Stopping the mobs from spawning around you is very simple: light up things .

Personally,  like the mobs. I mine 'em for exp! It was dull when the were gone.    Sure, it's bad when a creeper or two go off unexpectedly behind you, but then that's what keeps the game fun.
