I was thinking maybe make the border a glass wall so people know that there is a limit. And so then they don't see a chunk of land outside the border thinking its a good place for a home and then not being able to get to it.

Just an idea.

I dont see how people thinking they can build there and not being able to is an issue? Making glass around the border would probably take to long and wouldnt accomplish much seeing as how you could see through the glass and want to build on the other side but still cant.

I don't think it really matters if they know where the border is or not? You usually know when your near the border for the length of time you have been travelling, and seeing how many griefed houses there is.

Something really annoying happened to me not that long ago when I was mining in the mining world. I was mining for diamond at around lvl 12, I was digging straight forward and all of a sudden I was shot all the way up to the top, it was when I hit the border. I hate the border.

We all hate the border but our experience would be a ton worse without it.  The border is here to stay and adding blocks to show its there really accomplishes nothing.

Not a bad suggestion, but personally, having a huge glass border would not look very nice, blocking the clean untouched land. It would also be placing a border on top of a border basically.

Okaii then how abouts bedrock? then you can't see the clean land and it shows a good strong border

There is no need for a physical border.  You have not said a valid reason other than people can see the beautiful untouched land?
