The nether is disabled currently due to duplication bugs that users were misusing. It will hopefully be re-opened in 1.3.

Hm. 1.3 should come out on August 1st. It will take a few days for the server system that the server uses to fully update their plugins accordingly with 1.3, so a few days after that. I'd hope no longer than August 5th.

One upside on that Krazzy is that supposedly in 1.3 we'll be able to actually grow the wart outside of the Nether in the regular world, so keep a reserve for planting later, lol

I can't answer for anyone else, but I would hate to see a pre-release used on a full server community like this. The point of pre-release is to to work out the bugs, not something recommended for a server.

I am not saying to upgrade the server to the pre-release, Im saying to do the bug and plugin upgrades when the pre-release is out.

We can't do that. We're not the makers of the plugins so we have nothing to do with it besides the few that were created by our own admins.

And I would say that using a pre-release is not a good idea. It is not a finished product at all, so therefore it is not a good thing to base something off of.

I would compare it to eating a meal that has not been fully cooked. There may be bacteria in it, there is flavors that would have changed throughout the full process of cooking, and many other things. Instead the fully "cooked" meal should be eaten and enjoyed, because then it is finished and is "clean".

As I've noticed there are things in pre-release that are not added into the final update that they make. It's simply a test and a bug-run as well as a fun way to play through some features that could potentially be added.
