Okay straight into it alot of us know what it is like to by forest land in minecraft and be left with nothing but an enchanted axe for hours to tidy it all up so we can build a pretty little house right?
I don't mean to sound lazy but it really is a real tiring process and I was wondering is there any way it can be designed into the chunky system that fire spread will only work on the chunks that our owned by the land the source of a fire was sparked on.
So in basic form is there any way to make firespread that you can enable and disable and it won't attack anyone elses land

We currently have the normal Minecraft fire ticks to be off completely, which means that fire doesn't spread or go out anywhere in any of the worlds. If we were to introduce your idea it would cause people who have got perpetual fire to lose the ability to light something and for it to stay lit forever.
While I do understand your idea and reasoning behind it, I'm reluctant to change this because many people like the fact that fire lasts forever wherever you light it; we can't have both otherwise fires would never stop they'd just burn down everything on your land
.
I am open to feedback and comments though, if enough people like your idea and agree that it would be better than the infinite fire then it is definitely something we could do.
If you want to remove trees quickly for now use mcMMO's treefeller?
