But..
- You need to download teamspeak and if you haven't used it before, it isn't very noob friendly.
- If the server was down this wouldn't really apply..
- Posting on the forums also takes up time, people don't always look at the forum to see new posts, it would be a long, long process.

To address your points: Most players download Minecraft anyway, or at least Java to play on our server, thus downloading TeamSpeak shouldn't really be an issue, installation is just like any other piece of software you would normally use too. As for players who may be confused by TeamSpeak; it is a very simple program to use with extensive in-software and online help topics on how to do everything ranging from just the basics to very complex processes.
When the game server is down the TeamSpeak is normally still online so there shouldn't be an issue with a lack of communication, and the site is there again for any issues too.
Finally in regard to "posting takes time", it takes just as much time as posting something in a shoutbox/chat would? Plus saying that people don't use the site correctly is not something we can fix, if the users aren't going to do simple things such as view the latest unread posts (
http://www.noobscraft.com/unread/) (thus allowing them to keep on top of the latest news/information) we can't force them to.
We are always welcome to suggestions and ideas on how to improve the navigation and workings of the site however a Shoutbox/Chat is just going to mimic (repeat) other features we already offer.
